Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Pulled the trigger on er9 today, found on ali from the ltwoo official store , winter sale ends 1/12 for $406.18  US + tax, total $439.69 shipped sans box and battery.  Purchased zitto 11-34 colorful 12 speed cassette  and kmc 12 speed chain as well. Will run 1X with 48T Crank (but have 48/35 2X if I choose later)  .

Was really hoping GRX would be out by now but seems still having issues with that.

Re: Onirii One Received the frame (size M) yesterday. It took 34 days to receive it from the day I paid. Initial impressions: no giant red flags yet but it's also not a perfect work of art. Plus I still need to build it so more quirks seem likely to come up. There is a tiny scrape on the down tube right where it meets the headtube. Also I thought the cables were 100% internal but there is a hole where you can run a cable outside/around the bottom bracket. I may need that since i'm planning on using a 30mm axle and im not positive that will leave room for the brake line inside the frame. The logo is just stickers, no coating over them. Headset spacers have male/female features that lock them into place on top of each other. The only problem with them is that the top one reeeaaallly needs to be forced to fit into the indents in the bar/stem in order to lock into place. I may just need to cut one of the bosses off the top spacer. I'll share more as I build it too. They have faced the bottom bracket and brake caliper mounts so that's always good to see. For some reason I though the stem angle was 7 degrees so I was a little surprised to see its listed as 12, that shouldn't be a problem though. If anyone wants pictures of specific parts let me know.

Weights:
775g - Frame (with bottle cage bolts and front derailleur mount)
354g - Fork (significantly heavier than listed in their Aliexpress store)
60g - Thru axles (both together)
140g - Headset (see picture to see what's included, there are other parts, these are just the ones I plan on using)
335g - Bar/stem (a little lighter than listed, with bolts for computer mount and fork clamping)
182g - Seatpost
8.5g - Seat collar with bolt

While waiting for the frame to arrive I sent Onirii a lot of annoyingly specific questions about various aspects of the frame and they were always quick to respond (within their business hours) with thorough answers.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame I just placed the order for the 268. I picked the silver chameleon paint job. Anyone had the chance to build their own?

Mine will be with elite edge 45mm. I still have to pick a groupset. I want to go with Chinese mini groupset, but event in the mechanical/hydro brakes, I don't believe they are there yet to compete with Shimano/Sram.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Finally installed my ER9 after sitting on it for a month. Smooth installation with no issues, the calipers actually seem pretty good quality with the ceramic pistons.

Re: Two new Winspace frames coming (soon?)
They've rounded out the transition and trailing edge a bit on the agile compared to the t1500, but the air still hits a a flat surface. Literally every serious aero bike has an airfoil(-ish) leading edge. I don't know what kind of bar setup they had but for a supposed aero bike the Noah Fast tested pretty shit in tour protocol and has a more rectangular than triangular downtube. The Falcn has a standard kamm-tail (closer to D shaped tbh) downtube.

And tour tested the SL8 with integrated aerobars 1 watt faster than the SL7 with a separate bar and stem. According to spesh themselves the new integrated bar is 3-4 watts faster (consistent with comparisons between one-piece and two-piece cockpits from various third party tests). Therefore it's an entirely logical inferrence that the SL7 frame is faster than the sl8.

The Agile has a different profile than the T1500. Besides, to give color to the absurdity of judging a bikes aero-ness by its pictures. The Noah Fast Disc in 2019 with its rectangular downtube tested at 213W. The Madone Disc back then was at 212w. The Sl7 was at 210w. Are you really claiming that you can judge 3w in Tour's test by eye? We also don't have a clear picture, like a cutaway showing the profile of the tube, so you are doing that via these angled pictures of the bike.

I would also be cautious re: the inference that the SL7 with a rider and the one piece Roval bars would be faster than the the SL8 set up the same way. You cant just add up these numbers that way and guess. Its also worth noting that Tour, despite having done the test you mentioned called the SL8 with its round-ish downtube as the best bike they have ever tested. They know the limitations of their testing protocol and how it applies to the real world and ran with the following byline: "The new Specialized Tarmac SL8 shows no weaknesses in the exclusive S-Works version and almost logically earns the best TOUR rating in history."

As far as I care to judge, until someone sticks these bikes in wind tunnel with a control frame, its not obviously aero or not aero.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets I've just spent 6 days riding out to watch each stage of the Tour Down Under with my full AliExpress build, including er9 12 speed set up. 600km and 7000m of climbing and it didn't miss a beat. Still no rides in the wet but given other reported issues I added silicone around where the cables plug in to enhance the waterproofing.
