Re: My Winspace T1500 build
This is my WinspaceT1500 build. Weight without pedals 7.8kg with framesize L. With my MTB double-sided pedals with cage comes at 8.15kg (personal preference). Build details: 1. Ultregra Di2 8170 2. Hunt 44 Aerodynamicist wheels 3. Custom 3D printed cable routing system. Unfortunately FSA N69 has not worked for me, it had larger bearing than needed and was 2-3mm wider from each side, looked pretty ugly as a mushroom, so I went with custom 3D printed solution. I also did not want the original bar and stem combo because it does not provide any position fit possibilites, rather then removing spacers. 4. Lightweight UNO -17 degree 110 mm stem and aluminum Pro-Vibe handlebars. Saddle is a test one, so definetely will be some changes here. March 02, 2023, 04:56:28 PM |

Re: Trek Madone frame
As someone who owns an actual Trek Madone SL-7 eTap (size 56cm) 1. The frames are very well made & the support from Trek is top notch 2. The bike itself is very, very fast & twitchy. It will go in the direction you point it and take you with it 3. The isospeed is pretty good, if you use a comfortable saddle 4. Bontrager tires are terrible 5. Bike will weigh in at around 19lbs with the sram force groupset Now, rather than buy a clone & risk your neck/spine/other parts, you could get a used Trek (warranty is still good) or a frame from Velobuild/Winspace/Eleves etc etc, all of whom seem to have better warranty than other sellers That being said, the Madone is designed for all out speed and is not very comfortable on a long ride, so if you are looking for a bike that is a good climber and lighter and comfortable then the Emonda is a much better frame/bike to buy March 03, 2023, 10:17:00 AM |

Java fuoco disc - Anyone knows more about it?
Hi Friends, I recently bought a used carbon Java frame. More information about it can be found https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/JAVA-FUOCO-Full-Carbon-Fiber-Frame_1600366361041.html Since I had a tantansports frame before I knew that tantansports once made Java frame. I don't know if this still the case but from the Alibaba it says that the company is manufacturer... It seems to me that it is quite popular in Indonesia and other southeast Asia countries. I recently ordered a Magene QED P325 power meter, which seems to be their answer to the stiffness, inaccuracy, and shifting problems in the P325-CS (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804699484005.html) I just took delivery today and made a quick unboxing video: Hope you enjoy it! Only thing I am waiting on now for the build is my Seka Exceed frameset, which apparently is in the country and just needs to make its way to me! I'm also in Southern California (San Diego) and I don't recall ever seeing one. Seems like most of the roadies are on Specialized and Santa Cruz is really popular on the trails. Even the mainstream direct-to-consumer bikes are rare. I've only seen a handful of Canyons even though their North American headquarters is down here. March 10, 2023, 11:42:46 AM |

I have been on open mold frames exclusively for about 6 yrs now. My fat bike, MTB, road and gravel all are open mold. I have only come across a few other riders on them. they are more popular in the fat bike world but still not common. I do agree that it is crazy how much people spend on bikes just to have that name brand. I run exclusively shimano drivetrains just because when I started, sense didn't exist and I had to pick one for continuity of repair parts and processes. the ability to have a top spec drivetrain on an open mold frame gives me a riding experience on par or above most riders at a fraction of the cost. I would rather have multiple bikes tailored for a specific riding type then one uber expensive bike that I have to use for everything. I probably spend the same amount of $$ on bikes but I have a whole fleet.

I did just build a climbing bike using the velobuild 066 frame. I went rim brake and 2x but it will be sub 6.8kg. it had the Sensah 2x12 groups on it originally and I actually really liked it. performance was great and it shifted just as I would have expected. I got a wild hair and switched stover to shimano 9100 mechanical rim brake. I figured this may be my last change to get a rim brake non-electric group set in my lifetime. hahaha. I live in Belgium, and although I rarely see an unbranded open mould frame, I do see a lot of rebranded ones. Plenty of smaller brands rely on open moulds. I've even seen branded open mould frames raced in women's World Tour. March 10, 2023, 04:09:57 PM |

expect L-TWOO eRX to be launched fairly soon Projected pricing is 4500RMB for the levers, callipers and derailleurs. Wheel Top EDS TX should cost considerably less, quoted to start at the high 2xxx range for Rim brake and low 3xxx range for Disc brake in standard weight guises.
