Re: Airwolf YFR068 - 2023 Gravel Frame Well my build is 90% complete. Waiting on some power meter SRAM Force cranks to finish the build. Running some loaner cranks for the time being.

Mixed feelings about this bike. The quality of the paint (see pic of example - it chipped really easily. Has happened in a few locations), issues with the headset plug (as others have noted) and misaligned brake caliper mounts were low points (normal methods for aligning brakes didn't work, needed to really play around to eliminate brake rub). Overall required excessive fiddling to get things right, in my opinion.

The bike rides well enough, but it seems noisy and the wheels I chose are probably too stiff. I can't tell if the noise is the chain/cassette combo? Open to feedback, based on my componenet selection - maybe I'm made some bad choices. Once I get final parts on it, I'll weigh it. I'm not shooting for weight weenie but I think it'll end up light as a result of all that carbon.

Here are the specs:
- SRAM Force AXS brakes and shifters
- SRAM GX AXS rear derailuer (went mullet on this build, good for where I live)
- Garabuk 10-50 cassette
- SRAM Rival cranks with 42T cassette (upgrading to SRAM Force with PM and 44T when it arrives)
- Shimano 160mm ICE-tech rotors
- SRAM GX chain (for now)
- WheelsFar Wheels. 50mm deep, 24mm internals, 30mm external width, DT350 hubs with aero Sapim spokes
- GravelKing SK 43mm tires
- 400mm handlebar and 110mm stem on 58cm frame
- Specialized Power Comp Saddle (not what's on in pic, but have since swapped it out)

Anyone else find specing and building bikes to be almost more fun than riding them?

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame Update on my handlebar issue... The seller did get back to me and acknowledged the paint problem and sent me a new handlebar. I received it today.

For reference: The 380/80 handlebar weighs 350gr (without additional hardware)

Re: Velobuild GF-002 Just realized i never posted pics of the 2 GF002 i built. The orange is mine. I ghetto painted it myself.
Farsports wheels, hookless (so my fat ass can hit rocks tubeless without worrying about breaking the rim)
Conti Terra Speed 40C tubeless w sealant - nice, but wears out fast.
Sensah 2x11 mech. Horrendous FD. Wouldn't recommend Sensah, i built 4 bikes w Sensah 2x11 mech, had a RD die for no reason, and Sensah told me to eat a *ick. And the FD is trash.
Jagwire keb-sl brake housing.
I do not love the brakes now that i have ltwoo er9 hydraulic on my road bike. in fact i will not build another non hydraulic bike for myself (i'm 80-85kg though).
All frames are Medium.
I had a lot of fun with the bike last year, put 3.2k km on it, as well as quite a few hours on the trainer. This year it's in fact been by home trainer bike, and it's developed a bunch of creaks i need to diagnose (almost certainly my fault / sweat).
The road one is the VB 168 with gangster deep wheels (Farsports too). I find it helpful to see them by side to realize how different the geometry is.

It was my 1st gravel bike. I quickly then bought another road bike, because this absolutely does not feel like a do it all road bike. The geometry just doesn't work for me on the road (too high, too slack, doesnt feel good going down hairpins). The vast, vast, vast, vast majority of my riding is road. I kind of wish i had more occasions to ride gravel, because i did enjoy it. But i find myself going for the road bike all the time.

My buddy with the black one is a runner so he bought it mostly because he's a lawyer and wanted a pretty bike / FOMO. He's happy with it though, the bike is a head turner. He uses it as a road bike.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
PEOPLE I HAVE FOUND THE FIX AND MIGHT HELP YOU.

Look at the photo hopefully this will explain and otherwise get in contact with me.

Hopefully this works for you!

(I posted that I had a problem yesterday)

I can't read your scribbles, but I'm very interested. Would you mind using Paint and the text function, or PowerPoint with text boxes over the photo instead?
Thanks!

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Lol I’m sorry I do scribble but In essence the final drive gear that drives the arm that shifts had a tooth broken off, I’m not sure if this was my girlfriend frantically shifting without pedaling or something like that. She honestly doesn’t know yet how to shift because she is new to cycling.

For this problem you need to have a derailleur that is stuck in a biggest or smallest gear and still makes noise when you shift, or a rear derailleur that stops in a certain gear, for example 1-5 works but then 5-6 is a green flash and some noise but does not actually make the shift. If you diagnose any of those this might help.

But since that shifter arm only moves about 60° or so, I was able to take the derailleur cage off, then move the arm 120° around and then go in the app. Now here is where it gets sort of tricky. If it’s stuck in the smallest sprocket follow 1 if in largest follow 2.

1. Go to the rear derailleur in the app, then click calibrate, it will ask if you are in the 6th sprocket which you need to answer with “yes” ( even though you are not). This will offset the zero and will allow you to shift down 5-6 times (11-12 speed). Repeat this step until the arm has come around anbout 120° and you can mount the cage back on.

2. Go to the rear derailleur in the app, then click calibrate, it will ask if you are in the 6th sprocket which you need to answer “yes” ( even though you are not). This will offset the zero and will allow you to shift up 5-6 times (11-12 speed). Repeat this step until the arm has come around about 120 ° and you can mount the cage back on.

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame Just checking back in to see everyone else's experience here. Strava tells me I have 3311km on my bike so far, issue free. I have changed the cockpit post bike fit as I needed 130mm on the stem. So far so good. I feel like I had great value for money with this build and wouldn't hesitate to buy another frame from these guys.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame Just did my first ride with the 268, and it feels great. I barely feel side winds (also because of the 38mm depth wheels), which is lovely.

Compared to my speeder bike, it feels a lot more stable and comfortable (heavily dictated by the spacers and less aggressive geometry).

In terms of building obstacles, there were no true issues, although I did have to drill the FD guide in the frame, so my shifting cable would fit.

Will get back after I did more rides with the bike.

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame Did a 125km ride today and the play did not come back. So for now the 9Nm on the expander (higher than recommended) and the 5Nm on the stem bolt seems to hold.

Magene QED 12spd groupset showcased in Shanghai It seems that more Chinese manufacturers are interested in penetrating the groupset market, which is dominated by Shimano and SRAM. After Ltwoo, Sehsah, and Wheeltop, Magene is a new player. They showcased their QED 12spd road groupset at Shanghai's China International Bicycle Fair. I got this info (and pictures) from a person attending the fair. So, there might be some discrepancies. Anyway, here is what I know:
- 12spd semi-wireless groupset
- looks like Shimano 105
- it will have hidden buttons on the inside
- hoods/shifters compatible with rim + hydraulic disc brakes

The price or the release date is unknown. What is your guess?

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
Did anyone notice Wheeltop is now advertising 3-14 speed cassette compatibility? I didn't even know 14 speed cassettes existed? Lol

https://wheeltop.com/products/eds-bicycle-derailleur

14 speed is pretty outdated now, if you aren't riding 1*15 you're shooting yourself in the foot
