It might have helped before jumping the gun. OP is talking about Shimano 105. Anyhoo yes I still prefer Ultegra/DA over whatever Chinese equivalent regardless of that recall. But to think that overpriced Chiner cranks are to be trusted over Shimano or SRAM? lol.

I bought batteries locally, and they are crap. I have a lithium capacity tester and they tested at 300-400mah. With these in, the group dies at c.35%. I found out because at first i was using an external battery pack to charge the group, but it turns out it wasn't charging properly for several reasons. So now for simplicity, i charge using a wall charger. I am making a habit of charging very often to avoid being stuck in one gear, which really, really sucks. Note 1: you can / may to some extent charge the group on the go with a battery pack or your phone, but that assumes you're staying on top of the battery in these things. Note 2: the 2nd time my group died in a ride, when back home, and after charging, i had to press the RD button for several seconds to reset the cage (it was stuck). Then took me 5min to re-calibrate the gears. Note 3: the group talks to my garmin edge: battery indicator as well as which gear i'm in. I bothered setting that up only 3 days ago. It's quite neat. Frame "inspiration" reference thread
There are a lot of open mold frames that... let's say "draw inspiration".... from big brand frames. The most obvious one is the SL7 and it's probably worth keeping a list of those with all their subtle differences, but I wanted to reference some others I've found and keep a thread going. Inspiration: Canyon Endurace  Open mold versions: Velobuild VB-R-066/OG EVKIN CF-025   Notes: Velobuild available in rim or disc brake config. I think the Velobuild version is a good bit lighter than OG EVKIN's. Inspiration: Cervelo R5  Open mold version: Tantan FM6x9 (609, 619, 629, 639)  Notes: the geometry is EXACTLY the same lmao. Also available in rim & disc versions as well as half vs fully internal cabling (I wanna say 639 = fully integrated). I know the TT-X38 is "inspired by" the newest Scott Foil but I'm too lazy to dig all those photos up. But you get the gist. If I had the time I'd start a website to capture all this open mold data. Is it easy to install the GP 5000 tubetype on them ? Which one looks better between 23 and 25 mm ? Just a note about the GP5000 tubeless, the second generation is much easier to put on than the first(was a nightmare in general). I was even able recently to put them and inflate them using a floor pump, without a compressor. So maybe you can scout forums to know if the new tube type generation is easier too. It's paltry, poultry is chicken  I can recommend LT268, because i ride one and it's awesome. in 54 it weighed 1163g in matte, 1191g in gloss. It feels very stiff with Airwolf 36cm cockpit (allegedly full t1100). Interestingly, they are releasing the 301 which is very similar in looks & geometry, but takes 38C (I have mixed feelings about that) and weighs <1kg. I assume it's just as stiff, but that's a question worth asking Alisa. Crit means tight corners / breaking / acceleration, right? Are you sure you want a 1250g frame? The systemsix is meant to go fast in a straight line, it's not a crit bike, afaik. If you want something more aero & more aggressive, i recently also built 2 winow FM368. I liked building them less, but my 2 friends riding them like them a lot. The store you're looking at is called Ruichuangda Bicycle Store & their ratings are below average. I wouldnt order from them. It's down the road from my place in the mountains, puts a smile on my face every time, and i've watched it well over 100x. It's just fancy car vinyl decals, the whole bike cost 10 euro in stickers, i found a friendly neighbor with a plotter machine. It's fully reversible (I half ghetto spray painted a bike last year, i regret it already). In the last 2 years i built 9 bikes and rebuilt 1. I have too many bikes as well as friends who are supporting my toxic habit It's a hobby that occupies way too much space in my head. Facteur & tractor is ofc me trolling Factor.
