Re: Carbonda FM909
Currently I ride only road bike and cyclocorss, so it is difficult or not possible to transfer these values to a mountain bike, right?
Yep, I think it'll be not correct to transfer this value from road bike, but you can try to calculate it using Lee McCormack's and Peter Verdone's methodics. Lee's approach will give you RAD on shorter side, and Peter's one - on longer side. You may choose average of two values as starting point of your mtb fit.

Re: Clipless Pedals XCadey are working on a set of power meter pedals!

These pictures are from a patent submitted in July 2021. For perspective, the patent for their latest power meter crankset (April 2021 product launch) was submitted in June 2020. With the 2022 bike show rescheduled to August, we may well see XCadey PM pedals debut alongside Sensah hydraulic brakes and the Wheel Top road groupset.

Re: Fovno Crank sets I think one of the best cranksets has been hiding in plain sight for the longest time

It's not advertised but the XCadey road crankset can be ordered sans power meter. 24mm Titanium spindle (so no BB86 w/ 29mm or 30mm issues), 4 arm spider (unsure if the 5 arm can be ordered this way) and likely doesn't suffer from flex issues like the Magene.

The only other Ti spindle crankset I can think of are the eeWings which are 30mm. I wonder if a 24mm Ti spindle will have the same issues as one made from alloy? There's also the Miranda X-MOD which does use a 24mm Ti spindle but there's no information on how it holds up.

Re: L-TWOO RX 2x12 road groupset Wheel Top just dropped this 46 minute long video explaining their MTB groupset and are currently recruiting beta testers for their road groupset.

I'll briefly summarise some of the more interesting points:

Road groupset beta testers are asked to prepare bikes with "11 speeds or more," meaning that the road groupset will support both 11 and 12 speeds like the MTB.

The MTB groupset will support 11 and 12 speed cassettes from SRAM and Shimano via software presets controlled on the companion app.

The MTB groupsets you saw listed for sale earlier this year were actually pre-production units offloaded by beta testers.

Wheel Top's road brifters will work with the MTB rear derailleur for gravel mullet setups.

The MTB rear derailleur uses an 800mAh battery (47.5g) with a slimmer 400mAh optional battery coming in the future. For reference, the SRAM battery is 300mAh and weighs 25g.

They'll release a downhill version of the MTB rear derailleur with a shorter cage (75mm vs 93mm).

There'll be a decked out version of the MTB rear derailleur with black and gold pulleys (unclear if OSPW or not).

The MTB derailleur can shift through all twelve cogs positions (NOT changing gears) in as little as 1.8 seconds. Wheel Top aren't happy with this as they aren't good enough numbers for a road groupset.

Wheel Top's road brifters will be mechanical. Hydraulic is not mentioned.

The road groupset is on target to be released by year end.

In other news, Hillhouse Capital (leading private equity firm) invested in L-TWOO back in February 2021.

Nothing new from Sensah.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame In a surprise update to my VB-R-168 saga, Chris actually came through, and I finally received the correct seatpost hardware for my frame.
I was so surprised to see that it fit because aside from the curvature being tighter, it looks almost identical.

Re: What is your favourite all-purpose bike part store on Aliexpress? Meische Cycling Store have a good range of Kalloy Uno bars and stems. Kalloy are an Oem manufacturer and their stems are tested to iso standards so i've chosen to trust them over other random chinese manufactures and will use on my mtb's when i get back to riding. Hopefully that's not misplaced.

Re: FS830 Enduro Frame - Stef Biggel’s build I promised to write somthing to the build if it is worthy: the last 4 days was worthy. ;D

We done 6500 altitudemeter down in Vinschgau (italy) over long trails (1000-1400m down) in classic natrual S1-S3(short sections) tarrain.

The FS 830 did a mega Job and if i feld uncomforable in short moments, the rider was the problem not the bike.
