Re: Miracle / MIRA FS822 Took a break today to put last parts on. All done!

Now to set everything up and do a shakedown ride. Then call some friends and plan a big day out!

What do you all think? Is anyone else using this frame?

Re: Miracle / MIRA FS822 An important detail on this frame that anyone considering it needs to know!

In different places, there are 2 different shock sizes listed (184 and 190 eye to eye). I assumed this was an error. Mira confirmed the 190 length and I fitted a 190 shock. It fitted with some fiddling but wasn't right - and topped out as the rocker hit the seat tube.

I checked in with Mira again and they said I should use a 184 shock. After some conversation, it turns out there are 2 different shock linkages available. I had the wrong one. Mira shipped the correct one at no cost. Fitted easily and everything fits properly.

Mira have been really helpful. If you order this frame, make sure you specify which linkage you need. The listing of 2 sizes is not a mistake! Travel with each shock size is the same (ish! 44mm vs 45mm stroke).

Re: Carbonda FM909
Ouch I hope they will be back to you in any case because 2000 km are not enough to justify those cracks

The official warranty for the frame is 2 years and it ended 4 months ago. But Carbonda looked at the photos and decided to send me a new rear triangle for free and even paint it for free

Re: SP-Cycle M06 build thread And it just showed up, it’s a beauty, picture don’t do it justice!
The paint is slightly clear and let the carbon show through. The finish seems good, I can see that BB and headset have been sanded/faced, inside it looks realy clean too. I will run endoscopic camera to check further.

Re: japjoe7 Carbonda FM1001 build thread
Looks good.
Are there rubber grommets to go on the cable entry points into the frame?

Yes, all around except the head area. The frame is too thick around those holes for the clips to fit. I may need to do some grinding or sanding.

Build Log - Carbonda hard tail for daughter's birthday. Well, my wonderful child has just turned 12, and having 2 parents over 6' - she has been growing like a weed.

She currently rides a Polygon Cleo 2 in XS that she got for her 8th birthday which has rapidly become too small for her.

After joining this forum, lurking and looking at AliExpress I thought it would be a good opportunity to use the collective knowledge of the forums and build my daughter a lightweight Chinese carbon bike!

My goal is pretty simple - I want to build a 29er bike that will last a good few years, and I want to to be as light (or lighter) than her current bike (XS frame, 27.5" wheels), I want it to be comfortable and capable on suburban streets, but I also want her to be able to to come riding with me on the MTB trails.

So I have started making purchases, and should hopefully have it ready to ride in a month or so.

Frame
I have gone with the Carbonda FM1306a.
I had sent an email to Wing last year enquiring about one of these frames for myself - but heard nothing back - that is when I found out that the emails had most likely ended up in my junk mail! Wing has been an absolute dream to deal with, super quick with replies, very detailed and helpful.
The frame ended up costing a bit more than I had hoped (US$230 shipping is a hard pill to swallow), and I also paid extra for the chameleon paint scheme as my daughter had requested it.

Fork
I was lucky to snap up a second hand RockShox SID off Facebook marketplace for AU$450. It was un-used, and taken off a 2024 Giant Anthem Advanced 29 3.

Wheels
I bought some EliteWheels off AliExpress - I will add more details later.

Brakes
ZTTO MTB Team Brakes in Silver and Gold.

I will update this post over the coming days with more information - been stuck busy at work...
