Re: Yishunbike R1058-D I received a similiar answer. "R1018, 1058, 1088-D, frames, we do not open to retail orders."

So I asked for R068-D instead and received the following..

Many new models we sell to wholesale customers actually, R068 as well.
But since R068-D we have frame stock on hand.
Unit price USD609/set (frame/fork/seat post/clamp/handlebar/headset/front and rear skewers/stopwatch holder)
I suggest to add one spare rear derailleur hanger: USD10/PC
WXY delivery cost with prepaid duty taxes: USD85
Paypal fee 5%
Total amount is USD739.2

Really curious about the "stopwatch holder" :D

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D @neobiker: Yishun is a really big OEM. If they create new models, those are initially open to OEM customers only, as they take up all the capacity anyway. Only when initial OEM demands die down, do they become open to retail customers.

@ENEP: Yeah, "stopwatch" is just bike computer :D It's just the standard carbon mount. Works fine, but it's easy to overtighten the little screws that hold in the adapter plate (for switching between Garmin, Wahoo, etc).

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D How long do you usually have to wait before the demand dry down?

It would also mean we should see some of the frame in some OEM maker soon

Re: dcrf26 frame - Scott Foil? Quick dry run photo before I start painting and building this week. With both my saddle height and handlebar drop setup, I'd say it looks pretty aerooooo.

I'm also testing those new Magene EXAR DB508 Ultra wheels. 58mm rear 50mm front, carbon spokes, 36t DT-Swiss style hub. Weight came in at 1366g. 30mm external, 23mm internal.

Re: dcrf26 frame - Scott Foil? So, here's my experience with the frame, btw i bought it from Sequel Aliexpress, so they sell it with different handlebar, they also include ceramic BB:

Positives:
1) The frame is super high quality, fork steerer is round, bearing seat stay is also perfect fit without wobble, inside is clean and not bad.
2) It's stiff, responsive as my aluminium frame, but much more comfortable (i'm living in Uzbekistan and our roads are not that good), i'm using 28c tyre btw. But some folks including my LBS master and friend who saw how i ride and tried bike by themselves, said that it wobbles a little bit and they said that it's not a bad thing, but i didn't noticed, coming from Aluminium frame and and i wanted the same stiffness.
3) Handlebar is also stiff, and really good
4) I thought that i need to replace ceramic bearings in BB, but by a spin test, it spins extremely good.
5) TanTan made a really good thing with their seatpost, that have rails like TT bikes, allowing you for wider range of movement.

Negatives:
1) Handlebar, seatpost clamp have such a tight fit, that they need to be polished or you just couldn't insert them.
2) LBS master said that he tried everything, by couldn't route cables internally, they are visible under stem, he said that holes in handlebar are small.

Sorry for my bad english and low amount of photos, i didn't have time to make them :)

*update*

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road Some points to consider...

-My Winspace T1500 (BB86) is currently using a Kogel Bearings DUB ceramic bottom bracket. Over 4300 miles and still problem free. Still spins freely with no creaking.
-My VeloBuild CX frame (BB86) also with a SRAM DUB bottom bracket. Problem free. Although the cheap SRAM branded DUB BBs are known to be crappy.
-My Yishun R086-D frame (BB86) with a CYBREI DUB ceramic bottom bracket from Panda Podium. 1000 miles and no issues. I don't expect problems to arise.

In principle what Hambini says is correct. However in my real world usage I have never had a problem running DUB BBs with BB86 shells. And the best spider-based power meters come from SRAM/Quarg which use the DUB standard. So I refuse to compromise my power meters or be limited to Shimano cranks based the potential for BB failure. That just hasn't happened to me. Keep in mind Hambini and I are buddies in the same YouTube space. Quality BBs should run just fine for thousands of miles.

Now about the headset play issue. In addition to using a micro shim, I also filed/sanded down the bottom of the plastic headset cover. The part that's rubbing on the headtube. Only took about 10 minutes os sanding. I just assumed it was an isolated issue with my particular frame. No more headset play. The time it would have taken me to email my problem to Yishun and wait for an official answer, I figured it out on my own. Honestly I've never contacted any of these brands with my issues. It's more fun to troubleshoot myself and it adds to my bike building experience. It's a cheap frame after all.

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D Yes went with the sep bar stem from Yishun. However would go the one piece route if there was substantial weight saving and ofcourse good quality.. There is  Avian Falcon II Integrated Handlebar which is about 285 grams in comparison to Yishun's 410 gram. Problem is they have informed me that they do not offer the headset spacers for it to fit Yishun frameset

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D Well, today I received the first pictures of my frame, paint job was done by Yishun and don't ask how I got them convinced to do so ;)
Unfortunately I am not able to upload the pictures as attachment, so here are the links to my drive.

Design was inspired by: Pinarello Dogma F Framekit 2023 Disc Electro Violett

I will share the complete build somewhere end of January when frame has arrived and I will share my first thoughts and more pictures while building as well.

Stay tuned!

Re: ProX Super Light Carbon Spoke Wheels C67DB Undulating Rim if all the specs tick the right boxes, then they should ride nicely. bad components will make for a bad wheel, and vice versa.
I doubt they're the worst at laying carbon fiber in a rim mold.
QC MIGHT be a problem but just ask 5 times for them to pay attention and hope for the best, I guess.
Please report here how they ride.
