Re: Winspace T1550 new frame? -The updates for 1550 are very marginal according to Winspace. Geometry and specs are more or less the same.
-No more external downtube entry for mechanical shift cables.
-T1550 vs Elves Pro: Expect a long-ish lead/delivery time for both. End of spring if you're lucky.

I'm intrigued to eventually get my hands on the new Elves Falath EVO to compare against my T1500. And while any "performance" differences will probably be marginal at best between the two, especially for recreational riders, my suspicion is the Elves wont be as good. Hoping I'm proven wrong.

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023

No one has posted this yet: Cam Nicholls' build video for the Elves Falath.
Seems like the quality and finishing of frame and fork are very good. No issues during the build process.
Frame weight is a little underwhelming at 1300g for a size 54.
Final build weight with fairly lightweight parts (without pedals) is 7.9kg which puts it more or less where to be expected for a modern chunky aero bike.

They're also saying that the frameset will be delivered with 30mm worth of spacers. Too bad they themselves didn't have any so we still don't know what that solution is gonna look like.

Re: My Winspace T1500 build My build is finally complete!

Took me from mid Jan to now. It was a steep learning curve, but it was very enjoyable (most of the time). I also had some help from a friend at a local bike shop at times when I got stuck (bb issue mentioned in this thread, final gear tuning, front brake rub (turned out rotor was a bit bent, getting super-tight tyres onto the rim)

Final weight was 7.9kg without pedals and bottle cages for an XL.  To be honest, the weight is not a big thing for me.  Plenty of opportunity to cut weight on the rider! It's got 105 7020 groupset, chain catcher, not the lightest stem, an old saddle, more stack than it needs, longer seatpost than needed, so weight was to be expected.

I've done a quick test ride, but not a proper ride.  First impressions are very good.  Fit is not right and needs adjustment, stack, and handlebar positioning. The shifting needs a bit of work. Possibly too much friction from the guide lines I left in the frame due to my concern about contact points of gear cables on the frame (maybe I'm being too precious about that). Also I'm comparing it to my SL3 which has 105 7000 with fully external cables.

Re: Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset My Granite frame is complete.

Paint: This is arguably my best paint job to date. It's a mix of chameleon green/purple paint, 3D glitter paint, and a 2K clear coat applied liberally. Rattle-can paint performs the worst in cold weather, so I kept the cans sitting in hot water between coats. This really helped prevent orange peel and paint drip.

Internal routing: As always, the FSA no69 headset system is a gamechanger. However, the supplied set of carbon handlebars isn't really designed for routing 4 cables (2 hydraulic + 2 mechanical shift). I ended up not using them. My go-to bars have always been both the carbon and alloy aero bars from Prime Bike Components. Makes handlebar routing a breeze and the ergonomics are TOP TIER. Sadly this frame uses the terribly designed front derailleur port similar to VeloBuild. This alone will probably be the reason I stick with Sram eTap going forward like I have with my previous two builds.

Only gotten a chance to ride it up/down the block to get sone photos. Will report back after a few rides.

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023
I might get one, waiting for what Cam Nicholls has to say about it (even if it's kinda sponsored).
I'm 1m98 (6"6) and that HT is really small lmao but I'm looking for a really aero agressive and stiff race bike and man it looks sick af

You sure you're going to be able to ride that at race power (or at all)?

Unfortunately, you will have to wait a little longer. He will send this pre production frameset back and wait for new in smaller size. Too bad because I was also looking forward for this review and considering to buy this frameset.

Re: Advice on fake frames
The idea of a Madone knockoff with IsoSpeed is both really cool and terrifying. It's questionable enough getting something like the Cervelo S5 or the Tarmac SL 7 that have no moving parts, but throwing a suspension bearing into the frame takes this to a whole new level.

I'd love to see some actual details on what they did for that and whether the parts are interchangeable with the real thing.

That's an Emonda knock-off, right? So no IsoSpeed anywhere. There are however last gen Madone knock offs on Aliexpress. And I was wondering the same thing about these.
The only reason I bought a knock off as in the VB R218 from Velobuild is that it was the only frame available that had a) direct mount rim brakes and b) fully internal cabling. I wanted these two things and there is virtually no other frame out there - except maybe from one option at Lightcarbon that I didn't like the look of. I see it more as a replica than a counterfeit. It looks the same from the outside but it certainly is vastly different beneath the surface. Something which is widely accepted in the world of cars and motorbikes as well. I don't have a problem with it as long as it isn't made to deceive people into buying the real thing and as long as it doesn't copy color schemes and brand logos.

Re: My Winspace T1500 build This is my WinspaceT1500 build.
Weight without pedals 7.8kg with framesize L. With my MTB double-sided pedals with cage comes at 8.15kg (personal preference).
Build details:
1. Ultregra Di2 8170
2. Hunt 44 Aerodynamicist wheels
3. Custom 3D printed cable routing system. Unfortunately FSA N69 has not worked for me, it had larger bearing than needed and was 2-3mm wider from each side, looked pretty ugly as a mushroom, so I went with custom 3D printed solution.
I also did not want the original bar and stem combo because it does not provide any position fit possibilites, rather then removing spacers.
4. Lightweight UNO -17 degree 110 mm stem and aluminum Pro-Vibe handlebars.

Saddle is a test one, so definetely will be some changes here.
