Re: Which crankset fits BB92 Bottom bracket for AM831?
Guys,

This one already comes with a threaded BB but would the crankset work with a press fit BB92 bottom bracket?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082XQRJXY

thx!

Yes, that should work with any BB that supports a 24mm crank axle.

Re: The Shiny New AM831 Group Buy (A) Thread!
Do you guys a 32T oval will be OK? Or will that rub?

I think the oval I have on mine is 32t

Depends on your crankset.  A Shimano, or Shimano style, boost spindle or a SRAM set with boost offset chainring and you'll have no problems.  Anything else and you may be in for some trial and error.

Re: How to know which shock mounting hardware?
From searching this site, looks like others are actually using ones that are larger than what the dealer is saying.  They're saying using these two.

1. M8x22.86 - https://thelostco.com/products/the-real-2021-fox-mounting-hardware?variant=32303772631121
2. M8x30 -  https://thelostco.com/products/the-real-2021-fox-mounting-hardware?variant=32303770370129

Let me know if this is incorrect.  Thx.

I stand corrected, 22.86 (aka 8x23) should be the right size.

Re: cybrsrce AM831 build No one really has a way to resolve it yet. There are some good ideas out there but they will require some machined parts.  Bushings can tighten it up but not looking like a very acceptable solution.

Re: The Shiny New AM831 Group Buy (A) Thread!
I mean, if that works well, shouldn't Haideli buy them and distribute them to all the purchasers so far?

Wishful thinking, and the time it will take for him to facilitate that, god knows. I will gladly accept the parts when they come, but for 30 bucks I will also happily pay to get this bike finished. This is by far the longest most frustrating build I have ever experienced. I am happy to be a BETA customer, but also expect the support for working out issues you could find on the factory floor i.e no real world testing needed.

Right now I am waiting on a thru axle and nut to complete my bike. Emailed Eddy 3 weeks ago about the defective axle that came with my bike and stripped out the nut. Still has yet to be shipped.

Re: The Shiny New AM831 Group Buy (A) Thread! Dear all,
I'm also a "lucky" owner of the AM831 frame, I haven't posted yet but I'm trying to follow all the discussions since I haven't really started building the bike. Well let's say that I have now some hesitation to invest more money and time on this bike... :-\

Anyway thank you all for the effort you put into finding a smart fix !
I will complete JJJ spreadsheet as well to participate to the bolts group buy. I just ordered the bearings.

Moreover I hope that Eddy will come back to us with a solution or at least a compensation. You can count me in if you decide to go for a group claim.
Have a nice day,
