Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion I would not agree with that. My messages are being ignored. Wheelset was supposed to be 1450gr. Weight on the balance is 1537gr . Radio silence since I requested a small partial refund.

The rest of the transaction was good with Leon, but the above is enough that I would not recommend them.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Did anyone manage to fit an 11-34 and test it out?

Also looking to know pulley wheel dimensions and how many teeth... would change those to a purple if mine would fit

Same here. Recently upgraded to an 11-34 12speed cassette. I had to adjust the RD b-screw so the upper pulley sits far away enough from the cassette to not have excessive vibrations. Because otherwise the RD would not stay in gear and shift back down the cassette. I've been in touch with LTWOO and found out that this is a sort of protective feature of the groupset. Adjusting the b screw accordingly solved my issue.

Also, I complained here earlier that I found the RD slow to shift. Upgrading from 11sp to 12sp I've found that it shifts quicker now. That makes sense, because the RD moves just as quickly as before but has to travel less distance from gear to gear on a 12sp cassette compared to an 11sp one. I think despite being compatible with 11sp and 10sp, this groupset seems to work best with 12sp components.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets My rear derailleur stopped working as of a couple of days ago. I was starting a casual ride, and out of nowhere it stopped shifting. The motor makes a sound but no shifting happens. FD works totally fine.

The template below was shared when talking to customer service.

Re: III Pro PEERAGE 4 brakes - piccola clone
Peerage. Goldiex.

As an englishly-challenged, I have to ask: I assume that "Peerage" (an actual word) becomes funny if you read it "pee rage" ... yea, it actually is pretty funny. But why is everybody giggling about "Goldix"?

Re: Stiff, Aero, Crit Bike Vitus bikes have been available on firesale in the US from Planet Cyclery. The prices and stock changes pretty quick but the ZX1-Evo could be a good choice if you are looking for a complete bike: https://planetcyclery.com/vitus-zx1-evo-cr-etap-rival-axs-carbon-bike.

I am not much of crit racer as endurance riding is much more my thing, but I personally would start by playing with fit. To the extent you can, I would play with longer more forward positions vs. drop. Being able to do a really hard like 150% of FTP effort for a few minutes from the aero hoods position, keeping those elbows tucked in will make a much bigger difference than aero tubes. I would balance that with being able to get a sustain a 20-30 sec max effort in a relatively aero position.

The advanced thing would be measure your weight balance on your current bike using a couple of bathroom scales and a wall in your drops or whatever position you would use to chase or hold a wheel when things get spicy. I would try to keep expected the weight balance at the wheels between 60% Rear and 55% Rear. Its hard depending on size, but testing on myself good balance meant it was less work to shift my weight in and out of corners helping me keep the power down and my body in an aero position. Between your desired fit and balance, you should start to rule out some frames.

Lastly worth noting that BB height may impact your ability to pedal through corners. Ideally you want the lowest BB you can run without making pedal contact as that will minimize your frontal area of you and the bike. My rule of thumb is 80mm is the max drop for 165s, 75mm for 170s and so on, assuming you are using Look or Shimano style road pedals and shoes with standard length axles. The A9 and SC49 have a relatively high BB which could be good if you run longer cranks.

I had it in my head for a while that I could develop a better race bike for shorter riders and spent a lot of time on it during the pandemic and had a Ti prototype made before concluding that it wasn't for me. Those were important things I learned doing testing and iterating on designs that I think matter in this context.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) I've just finished the bike and don't want to withhold the first pictures from you.  :D

If you like, I'll be happy to create a separate thread for the build, with decent pictures and what the riding impression is like.

As it's a pretty wet winter here at the moment and I'm working until dark, I won't be able to start the first test drive until next weekend at the earliest  :'(

Re: Pump with pressure indicator for traveling Adding another vote for a micro pump as they're amazing, but for the situation you describe I think this is a better travel option: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805073801458.html?
I got one of these for christmas and find myself reaching for it very frequently...it's very fast, much faster than the micro pumps. Battery lasts forever. Definitely small enough to fit in your luggage. I bring it with me in the car if I'm riding somewhere away from home. This would be my go-to if I was traveling with my bike.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Pulled the trigger on er9 today, found on ali from the ltwoo official store , winter sale ends 1/12 for $406.18  US + tax, total $439.69 shipped sans box and battery.  Purchased zitto 11-34 colorful 12 speed cassette  and kmc 12 speed chain as well. Will run 1X with 48T Crank (but have 48/35 2X if I choose later)  .

Was really hoping GRX would be out by now but seems still having issues with that.

Re: Eddie's Airwolf YFR066 Build Thread
Cool! I've been following this thread with the greatest interest, as that bike is pretty much all in my Aliexpress cart (airwolf frame, Magene power meter, Elite wheels)
I even put that same saddle on my Triban today

All in all, as of today, would you advise to buy or to look for something else?

If I could redo--I would not buy the Airwolf frame, but I would get something like the Carbonda CFR1056. I realize that frame only goes up to 32c instead of 38c tires, but the frame/fork/etc quality from Airwolf has been really disappointing. I'll try my best to not think about how I wish I had spent the extra on a higher quality frame, but I wouldn't wish my experience on someone else. In general this frame/fork is not very confidence inspiring.

Otherwise--I would also not get this specific handlebar or stem. The stem barely fit on the steerer tube (I had to use a flat screwdriver to pry the clamp open a bit to get it to fit), and the handlebar is not as stiff as the others I've used.

Wheels, groups, seat, power meter, tires--all of those I've been happy with!
