Re: Any chinese frames using high modulus carbon like the real Specialized frames?
Btw what are the wheels it's running?  I can't make out the decal.  Looks unfamiliar.

Both next gen Spark EVO and Super EVO are running SCOM wheels, the former has the more expensive model

SCOM sponsors a couple Pardus pro teams in China

There's this rim brake Robin EVO, currently exclusive for the iGPSPORT team

They also had a rim brake version of the current gen Spark EVO codenamed C7 that was made for the Olympics (Chinese national team mandates rim brakes). I don't it'll come to market though.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-218
Officially 28mm.  Very tight 30mm for the real Dogma F.

I’ve measured the chainstay clearance before shipping the frame. It is almost 40mm and narrows down to around 38mm right before the bottom bracket. I see no reason why a 32mm tire won’t fit, if that’s important to you.

Re: Carbonda FM909 Greetings to all.
I received my frame, which I ordered in October last year.
Frame sailed from China to Ukraine for exactly 2 months by sea.
The frame looks much better than my old FM936. It is also lighter by 300g, the weight of the bare frame reaches 1960g.
The quality of the seats is high. Bearings 6901*2 and 6801*8 are installed in the frame. The frame is assembled on 12 axes, FM936 was on 10 axes.
There is no protection of the bearings from dirt. The construction is such that there is nowhere to insert even custom seals.
The headset consists of two healthy 52mm bearings. Why this was done is not clear, it is heavy.
Really liked the SRAM UDH rear derailleur holder. although for its quick replacement you need an ALLEN KEY 10mm.
I will build a bike soon, it's a pity that there is no place to ride now (

Re: L-TWOO RX 2x12 road groupset
Speaking of which, what's the verdict of the status of the WheelTop MTB derailleur / shifter being sold on AliExpress now?  Still beta test units?  Price appears to have normalized and a lot of people seem to be buying, judging by recent reviews - indicating these are production units.  Or is this one of those drip feed launches where it goes into production but is continually updated?  Western publications were quoting WheelTop reps at EuroBike as saying that it wasn't yet released ... but that may be for non-Chinese markets.

Very few takers from what I can see. Priced too close to GX and groupsets still haven't shipped for the people who did order. I also can't find any real customer testimonials.

Re: Speeder SC-R48
I contact Speeder yesterday and get an answer from "Justin" today...price for the SC-R48D is US$675, Shipping cost (germany) US$160 (tax free). He told me that full internal routing with the SC-R48D is not possible  :'(

Here is a new model, i found today on their website:
https://www.speedercycling.com/Carbon-Road-Disc-Frameset-SC-R52D-_p412.html

The Adris Performance seems to be the SC-R52D

There's also the Adris Vitesse which looks a lot like the Orca Aero and hopefully will be offered by Speeder too

Re: Carbonda FM909 Hi there,

Last sunday, I became Dutch Champion XCO 50+ on this great bike ;D

My height and weight is 190cm and about 76kg.
Weight of the bike is about 11kg in XL.

Build specs:
XL frame,
RS SID Ultimate 120mm,
RS  SIDLuxe Ultimate RL 165x40,
RS twistlock,
RACEFACE Next carbon 720mm bar,
Newmen evolution sl 318.4 70mm stem,
S-Works Toupe saddle,
KS LEV carbon dropperpost 150mm drop,
SRAM GX Axs shifter,
SRAM GX Axs derailleur,
SRAM GX carbon crank,
SRAM Eagle sl 34t chainring,
SRAM XX1 10-50 casette,
SRAM XX1 chain,
Shimano XT M8100 brakes,
Shimano XT  180mm front and 160mm rear disc,
Shimano xtr pedals,
Vittoria Mezcal rear,
Vittoria Barzo front,
Selfmade wheels with funworks hubs, DT revolution spokes and carbon rims.

When the new RS twistloc is deliverable https://bikerumor.com/rockshox-twistloc-gen-2-remote/ I can use the whole hub of the shock. For now its ok with the 2 positions twistloc.

I use this bike as my xc competitionbike and trailbike, and it reacts great in this setup on steap trails and big jumps/ drops. Last week I rode this bike in bikepark La Plagne aswell. First I took out my endurobike Ican P9, 29er with 160mm travel, and after that on the same trails the Carbonda FM909, whitout problems and allmost the same speed.

@StiffWeenies - do you know if Elilee are planning a version with MTB 52mm boost chainline?

A MTB version is planned, not sure about the specs though

Re: ICAN triaero A9
Wow.   I’ve generally heard positive things about ICAN, but this is shocking.
Just this one sample alone, and the response you received takes ICAN out of contention for any N+1 consideration

As an update after I showed them the headtube and asked for a refund, they agreed and asked for the frame to be shipped back. There was no pushback. Refund has not been issued yet as they haven't gotten the frame, but they did pay for a shipping label for me to send the frame back to Shenzhen.

I also found a new Trek Domane SLR frameset that was being sold for cheap so I decided to use that for the time being. In the spirit of this forum I'll go for Chinese carbon wheels

Re: ICAN triaero A9 For the amount of money it has to cost ICAN to ship the frame back to their factory...they could have easily performed a two minute QC check either on the production line or before shipping.

There is obviously a disconnect somewhere. Usually is the case when a brand is no more than an agent rather than manufacturer.
