Re: Consensus on replica frames ?? Ok so, I rode on bike about 1k kilometers (1150km). I dissasembly it 2 times. I didnt noticed cracking carbon of any parts inside or breaking (frame, handlebar, seatpost). BUT It has some paint scratches looks like carbon crack (seat post, seat tube). I check it many times and till now nothing change (good for me) - scratch are on outside side on paint.
The bike is very stiff, i dont feel that frame is flexible. Every parts from my previous bicycle fit well (crank, derailleurs, wheels). The frame is very difficult to mount due to internal cables and hydraulic brakes so have to be patient, have good tools and some skills, but i think its normal - in every type of internal routig frame (not only chinese version)

I bought frame from ali, size 56cm with handlebar 100x400 and glossy white paint, from seller that has shop from 2014 (7 years) and selling frames, handlebars and carbon parts. I bought it for about 750EUR with shipping.
I dont know how it works but when I add frame to basket it shows me 750EUR, but when I would like to pay for it the price changed to 600EUR. Maybe its VAT or some tax returned by law in EU. Next I added xdb shipping costs for EU for 150EUR, so overall 750EUR for frame back to my door.
Shipping lasted 3 weeks.

The package was very well protecded by foil, tape and sponge? in medium box.

Paint job is quite good. I rate it on 3 or 4 on 6 posiible (1-reprehensible, 6 perfect). The main varnish is very good and durable. But has some mistakes visible under the light, some black parts ale slightly smeared on white (thru axle mount), seat tube socket has too much paint (and its not harvested enough) and socket for screw seat tube is smeared on white too. Letters and logos are sharp and centered but I think they are not secured enough by scratching - should be additional transparent protective varnish. Seat tube socket doesnt have cover, so I had to doit by myself.

Frame has mounted perfect bottom bracket, the fork and back part of bike (rear triangle?) Its fits perfect with wheels and crankset. They are on position and central.

Steerer tube and seatpost tube has thick walls, maybe not perfect but strong enough. Seat tube looks like very durable and i think there is one layer with fiber glass (between are some spaces). Seat post has some paint crack looking strange, but when i checked it, it looks like its only paint crack.

With fork I get 2 aluminium overlapping spacers, 1 plastic spacers, 1 down pad with "ceramicspeed" logo (i dont know how its called) and 1 up pad, 3 aluminium upper rudder pads for compression, 2 headset bearings (up and down).
With seatpost I get additional clip for carbon rail of saddle

Handlebar is very good looking, like one piece made with stem, good finishing, with internal mount wire. There is garmin mount too with 2 bolts. Internal cables looks beautifull but mounting it is horrible...
There is a little disadvantage with stem. Mounting area is a little wider than should be, so when I put the handlebar on steerer tube, I had to remove some clearence with the stem bolts (i.e. should be 31.8mm and it is 31.9mm) and then remove clearence on head tube.

I sending some pictures below.
I have no time to respond for every email, im so sorry for that.
But sending pictures is simple so if U want more pictures, send me Ur email, maybe I try send u more :)

Re: Speeder SC-R48 So I've finally completed the build of the frame I bought from @trilobites

I'm switching from a Factor o2 2018 RB with 8050 Di2 and so far after a few hundred k's the main difference is the stiffness in between both frame's rear triangle has the o2 was much more lively and felt alive when climbing out of the saddle however it looks like the power delivery is a bit better on the speeder.

I will report back after a month or two on the bike for a clear review.

Speeder SC-R48D 490
Sram AXS Rival RD/Force FD/Rival Shifters
Ali Shimano 12 Speed 11/32 cassette & Chain
Shimano R8000 52/36 crankset
Speeder 45mm wheels with Chosen Hub - 1460G with Tape.
Prologo Dimension NDR Nack / Elita One Seatpost
Fasterway 380mm aero handlebars
Kalloy Uno 100mm

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056 Hi All, just wanted to share my 1056 build.

Size: 58 (XL). I'm 188cm (6'2"), inseam 90cm, armspan 186cm
Happy with sizing, probably could've gone with Large but due to my shorter arm length I wanted the taller stack of the XL, plus wanted to use for some gravel so guessed longer wheelbase wouldn't be bad.

Frame: Purple Gold chameleon paint, the gold really only shows in bright sunlight, it's subtle, I like it. There's a few lumps that could've been filled/sanded better, but kindof expected at this price point. Got them to fill in the cable holes. Am running cables through headset, using FSA no69 which works fine. Wish the cable hole through the fork would fit the compression nut, to make fork removal easy, guessing that's probably same for any frame, and prob not feasible.

Components: picked up a 3T strada build kit cheap here in Aus. Force 1x, Carbon cranks, 3T carbon wheels & bars. Went with 44T x 11-42 which is perfect for my use.

Tyres: Tufo Thundero 36 (on 18.2mm internal rim). Had to take some scissors to the side knobs on the rear to give myself comfortable space. Still yet to have tyre touch frame, zero scratches even when caked with mud. Added protective tape just in case.
WTB Byway 34 fits great. Maxxis Rambler 38 fit front but not rear.

Weight: currently 8kg without pedals. XL Frame w axle = 1180g, Fork w axle uncut = 508g

Riding: overall this is my new favourite, been doing apx 80/20 tarmac/gravel. It's such an amazing feeling to be on something that's lightweight, fast, and can go literally anywhere. One minute cruising down cycleways, next minute taking a shortcut through the bush on some singletrack, the versatility is just unreal. I'm getting around town soo fast now, feels like my city has become so small. Can't really comment on ride feel since I've only experienced a few alloy road bikes with skinny tyres, but yeah it just disappears underneath me, not been left disappointed or wanting in any way.

Carbonda: I've dealt with Katie for previous purchase of FM936 and now this, she's been excellent, quick to respond with thorough answers, no hassles there.

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D Ello, My R1058D has finally arrived. Size 59cm. They also said there was a month delay because of that mould issue. Ordered about 4 months ago. Ordered in gloss black. Ordered without handlebars (plan to order the lightcarbon superlight T1000 bar as it is the same price but lighter and they are all made in the same place anyway). Comes with thru axles, compression plug, headset, spacers, seatpost thingy. Quality is great, everything has been faced and masked when painting. BB is perfect. Theres a small amount of roughness in the headtube which I will sand, asked Melinda about this and she said it is ok. Plenty of clearance. Photos with a 28mm tyre.

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road Just an update on the ride experience that I had earlier. Please note that the only point of reference that I can provide is my previous bike which is a Merida Scultura

Well my experience on everything has been an improvement so far. From cornering, climbing, going fast, sprinting and descending. The bike can do it all. The most surprising improvement I got from my previous bike is cornering on descents and tight turns. I dunno maybe because I came from rim brake but I can comfortably corner that hairpins unlike before. With control and just a little bit of braking power. For descending, the bike can go really fast after a few seconds that I kept asking to myself "wtf am I descending like a madman?". I think that this bike excels on flats, well after all this is an aero bike, but I think it excels more on false flats because I nearly beat my PR on our local circuit with a false flat section.

As for the cons, I think Patrick is right that this bike is suppose to be ridden fast. I dunno but for me, I am not comfortable riding this bike with little power output. I need to go to the reach of my handlebars just to eliminate the discomfort of riding this bike slow. And this bike is hard to handle on really steep climbs (18% - 22%). You need to either ride holding the reach the handlebar, put your ass in front of saddle or just stand all the way. These 2 are the only things I know that my previous bike is handles pretty well, tho I think I just need to familiarize my body on the new bike and I can turn this cons into pros in the future.

Overall, this bike is really fast and overall improvement from my previous bike. Build quality is superb (minus the headset cover but I guess it's a part of experience). Everything went smoothly minus my fck ups on the choice of bottom bracket. I would still buy mainstream brands in the future but I think this will be my bike for years to come.

PS: I would never go back to mechanical shifting again lol. I think my next investment on my bike would be a Di2 or an eTAP

Parts of my bike:

Groupset: LTwoo ER9
Wheelset: Yishun's 206db-RSL50c (21mm IW; 28mm EW; 50mm depth) with Ultegra Rotors
Crankset: Shimano 105 7100 52/36 Stone Chainrings
Cassette: Shimano Ultegra 34-11 (really thankful that I went for 34 because I don't think I would survive that steep climb on my route)
Chain: Silver KMC 12 Speed
Bartape: Prologo
Saddle: SQLab 612 Ergowave Active (GOAT saddle for me)
Pedals: Favero Assioma Duo (Pedal based PM)
Tires: GP5000 front and rear from my old bike lol

Building a bike from scratch is a pleasurable experience after all and I would do it again in the future.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Here is my work-in-progress. Frame, handlebar and wheels are from LC.
For the decal, I simply provided the font and there is a little graphic on the headtube where I used simple online tools to reduce a picture to black and white and then made the background transparent.

I am very happy with the build quality so far.
And the communication with LC during the whole process was really, really great!

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Here are a few pictures.

I weighed the frame and fork on the kitchen scales ;-)

Frame: 911 g
Fork (uncut): 436 g

I think these are outstanding values. Especially as the whole thing has been painted.

Also attached are the desired detailed pictures.
