Re: Raceline Hider / Cinelli Pressure
Found this interesting post/writeup. You'll need to translate from Japanese

https://plovercycles.com/entry/cinelli_pressure_and_ican_a40

I wrote this article. I never thought the day would come when this article would be read by someone from overseas, lol.
As you can see in the link below, As you can see in the link below, Chinelli's Pressure does not have exclusive use of the molds.

Quote
(Translated)Paolo, First of all, I would like to state that "PRESSURE" is 100% Chinelli's design. However, our sales volume does not cover the full cost of the molds, so the supplier responsible for production has also made an investment. Therefore, we have a contract with other manufacturers that allows them to use our molds in return for their investment. This background may cause some misunderstanding, but Cinelli does all the design work. This information is not secret, but open. We are not secretive about this information, but we are open about it, and Francesca in the public relations department will answer any inquiries in the same way.

Re: Another thrust older frame on sell for cheap If you're in the US, you can use PP and Amex as a double layer of protection on top of AliEx's shipping guarantee. Amex doesn't mess around and all it takes is one call to reverse a charge on a bad sale. PP also sides with the buyer almost all the time and they have various ways to slush your purchase either in an interest free payment plan or using PP credit which is also interest free for 6 months.

Re: Raceline Hider / Cinelli Pressure Road CC Cinelli Pressure Review

"After a bit of research, I've discovered it's common knowledge the Pressure uses an open-mold frame, which means that it's basically an off-the-shelf-option. Many brands do this to reduce costs, and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. There can still be a certain amount of customisation in the carbon lay-ups the bike manufacturer specifies, which will tweak stiffness and ride quality – and as I've mentioned, the Cinelli scores well on both of these points.

At a claimed 990g for the Toray T700 frame (size Medium) and 390g for the fork, its weight isn't too shabby either."

Re: Groupset News Bit odd imo not to put a paddle (even a dummy one) on the left brifter on the 1x.  It looks weird, and a non-dummy could be used either for a dropper or converting to 2x ...

Also, having the thumb shifter on the right and not the left is going to feel very odd and lead to imbalance between left and right hands when you're on the hoods, and consequently different weight distribution that certainly won't aid steering or braking.

In light of this I can't see many people choosing the gravel brifter set.

You can tell Cinelli didn't pay them for that review, and they were made an example of ... 5/10 and aired that it was open mould.  Which they NEVER do.

I legitimately laughed out loud from reading your comment. This is why I appreciate when senior forum members chime in on these discussions.

It's funny because it highlights precisely why media outlets like GCN never give blatantly negative reviews, unless the product threatens their corporate sponsorships. So basically any brand from China/Far East. I still remember their whimsical and rather offensive video they promoted for Winspace.

Re: Curious what build weights people are averaging on their bikes? The frame is a small part of the weight.
Every gram you can save on components and wheels is what makes it light.

My CFR505(gravel) AXS Force/XX1 mullet was 200g lighter than my Canyon Ultimate CF-SLX with SRAM red at 7.1kg

Re: Velobuild VB-R-218 Received my copy (Disc) on Monday and also ordered a set of RC-50 wheels. Complementing it with Rival AXS the assembly was straight forward, but some points one should take care of (if not already mentioned somewhere in this thread).

When you fit a DUB/30mm axle you have to file down a protruding rivet that holds the bottom battery cover. Otherwise, you can't mount the axle straight. Just remove the bottom cover and you can access the rivet. The BSA threads seem to be cut post-mold and co-axial alignment/facing is fine. I had to remove some residuary debris and paint, but then you can screw in the bottom-bracket by hand easily and crank-axle fits smooth. Break mounts seem not to be machined but are sufficiently flat/parallel - no rubbing. What you have to take care of is the thread-insert holding the rear axle. It is fixed with a small screw that may get loose/lost. It can then happen that the insert rotates, and the axle becomes loose. Coming from the factory without it (!) apply thread-lock to the screw and check regularly. Overall quality of the frame seems fine, but time will tell. Test-drive today did not reveal any issues. The frame feels firm and with 28mm/5bar sufficiently comfortable (for a race bike). The handlebar seemed quite flexible when putting power into the bike, but I have no experience with the original, so that might be normal.

Someone having long(er)-term experience?
