Have you seen this video regarding the issues with shimano derailleur and aftermarket casettes? Maybe it is not the problem of the casette after all, but a change in Shimano designs to be compatible with no one else hahahhaa I'm not entirely convinced with Trace Velo aka Luke's argument regarding aftermarket cassettes. I'm currently using 105 5800 11 speed shifters and R7000 RD + lightweight aftermarket 11-32t cassette. My setup shifts perfectly fine and that's also using an AliEx cheap OSPW cage. My belief is that shifting issues has more to do with the shifters themselves. Having used both Sensah Team Pro and LTwoo 11 speed Shimano compatible shifters, neither one can spot-on index like my current 105 and GRX shifters. I believe the shift tolerances are a bit more sloppy on aftermarket shifters. I think SRoad updated their road cassettes to shift a bit better as well. Also I tend to prefer the shadow style RDs, I have a bad habit of dropping my bike on the drive side and the shadow design has saved my RD hanger from getting bent numerous times. ...the rub is bad enough that the wheel barely turns. If you put the other type of lock ring, that you can tighten with the same tool as for a cassette, you should be fine. February 05, 2023, 01:23:21 AM |

Finally built the two this weekend ! No problem to report about the frame. Brake mounts were aligned. Smooth inside. Headtube ends clean. Same great build quality as usual from Carbonda. The pink one is for my sister ! Unfortunately I did order a 31.6 seat tube.  Waiting for the 30.9 to arrive.With GX AXS, a ZTTO cassette as she wanted a rainbow, but didn't want to invest in an eagle cassette, we'll see how it goes. In the picture it is a ZTTO chain, but I don't like the noise it makes, so I have an XX1 on order to replace it. The wheels are the XC925 from lightbicycle.com with 240 EXP hubs, CX-Rays spokes. The ZRACE Hardrock crankset looks well built. The Onirii M4 brakes were a very nice surprise, they look awesome and were very easy to assemble, no bleed required. The brake adapters coming with the frame F PM160->180 and R FM->PM are a bit chunky, but free  I had to file a mm or so from the rear one to let the M4 totally on it. The fork is temporary, she's not a rock garden type of rider, and I try to convince her a rigid fork will be enough. If it works, we'll order a pink one, if not, we'll buy another fork. The second black one(size L, the pink is in M) is more on a budget build. Shimano M6100 components. DT-Swiss 1900 wheels. Onirii M4 brakes(I had to bleed the rear, just putting the funnel, and getting some bubble out of the lever). A Judy fork. A Elita one seatpost and a UNO stem too. February 20, 2023, 03:11:15 AM |

Workswell WCB-G 358
Hi, I'm Luca from Italy! I want to share with you my new frameset, i know there is already a topic with this frameset but is difficult to "identify" it.  First of all i placed the order on 13 February, today 23 March the frame was painted and ready to ship. Here the geometry chart:  And some pics of the painted frame:   Glossy white with top tube in raw carbon (glossy) finished. But i think they made it black My size is 56. BSA bottom bracket. I will complete it with (from previous bike): -Shimano 105 R7020 2x11 hydraulic -FSA SL-K 46/30 with power2max -Kocevlo Integrated gravel handlebar (44x100) For wheels & tyre combo i have (from previous bike) -Hunt 35mm Gravel carbon wheels - 700c -Farsport 40mm Gravel carbon wheels with dt swiss 350hub - 650b Will keep update when i received the frame and start the building. and how is your impression of the bike? I am thinking of the 1306 although I would like a smaller steering angle around 67°, which I can't really find for hardtail frames with 100.
