Re: ICAN triaero A9 Ok, an update.

I received the frame, but a little rocky road dealing with ICAN after the purchase.

First up, weights:

Frame, 58cm, 1241
Thru axles, 79
Fork (uncut), 413
Seat tube,   280
Headset bearings, 65
Handlebar-tube plug, 40
Handlebar-tube spacers, 90

Not ultralight but for an aero frame not bad either. Still a sub-8KG build with the other components (Ultegra 8020).

To get there though, don't use the separate stem and handlebar option. The stem itself comes at a whopping 322 grams. Bit of a waste when trying to shave off weight everywhere else. I contacted them telling it's a bit odd they take that much care to get the frame weight down but then give you a solid piece of ALU to weigh it down.

I asked them to switch for an integrated handlebar instead but that negotiation was rocky...

In any case, once the handlebar arrives I can build up the bike beyond just the rim here.

On the upside, the frame accepts the Gravelkings 32C, run tubeless on a 21mm internal width rim (28 outer). Feeling good about the build and will post another update once I get the handlebar in.

Re: ICAN triaero A9 No problem. See below, there is 4-5mm free on either side near the BB.

Tire is at 80psi.

Re: ICAN triaero A9 It’s the closest near the BB area of the rear wheel - clearance is fine for a 32c tire for sure. The large frame size might help as I guess everything is slightly supersized other than the fork.

I attached the requested head tube bearing seats. I don’t see any real concerns but I have to build the frame up to confirm the tolerances etc.

Re: Elite Wheels / Aliexpress / Trace Velo Me stating my experience is childish and "burning" an influencer? The guy is on a thin line? What are you even talking about. Trace velo deleted my comments why would I even ask him to reach out to Elite Wheels or Aliexpress to help me. He states he isn't sponsored by them so that would make zero sense to do any ways. He isn't an influencer he is a guy doing reviews on youtube or so he states. That's a big difference from an influencer who is sponsored by a company. You even said yourself the guy helped get you into Chinese parts so saying it's childish in 2022 to blame the internet for introducing me to a product or service is mind boggling. What do you think even this forum is doing. You make no sense.

I never once blamed Trace Velo for the shipping issue. You keep saying that but show me in this thread where I have done that. That would make zero sense as he has nothing to do with the shipping. I simply stated the guy is deleting negative comments towards the companies/aliexpress that he's slinging on youtube. Trace Velo comes off as an average guy buying cheap Chinese parts off Aliexpress with his own money and not being supported by said companies. He says that as it lends more credit to him giving an "honest" review. The fact he has deleted my comment in this situation not once but twice should be more than enough for people to "question" his whole content online where he states he wasn't sponsored. You can't have it both ways. Your either the unaffiliated guy slinging your own money giving honest reviews or the influencer having products pushed your way and letting people know your content is biased. Trying to act like the unaffiliated guy while also trying to make that money as an influencer is a scum bag move as people value the unaffiliated guy more than an "influencer" and Trace knows that. That's my problem with the guy. It's that simple.

At this point you still have provided zero usefulness in this thread or situation. What is your deal? Do you have a connection to Trace Velo and are upset I am exposing his shady actions in this situation? Are you in some way affiliated with Aliexpress or Elite Wheels? If this happened to you wouldn't you want to share your experience with this community to try and help others not have to deal with this situation?

Re: L-TWOO RX 2x12 road groupset
The lever / master cylinder / hose connection is what concerns me ... If it's good and reliable then likely little problem using a third party caliper, as you say.   But if it's poor or finicky, and I expect the first attempts to be really poor, then what's the point?  Could be totally wrong and some of them knock it out of the park on the first try ... We'll see.  Either way I'll be quite happy to leave behind €1500-5000 groupsets.

Re: Sensah I've no idea what their funding situation is.  But their strategy so far has clearly been stack them high and sell them cheap.  There's definitely money behind a couple of other Chinese companies working on electronic.

Someone just posted this video showing L-TWOO RX hydro levers connected to Onirii XR callipers, which are the FM version of M2 2-piston PM.

Re: Rinasclta No experience with the brand, but at first glance the frames look familiar. They look like an open mold/Chinese frame reseller to me. Putting on my linguist cap for a second, their website shows much of the same verbiage and spelling/grammar mistakes that usually accompany the descriptions of these frames, with a little extra fluff.

The frame you link is this one from Airwolf:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPPgLbo
Even uses the same geometry chart.

Found their Vermilion aero road frame on Ali as well:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOc2DiW
Their gravel frame is also offered by a few others for less.

My guess? Rinasclta is supplied by Airwolf or they're both resellers of the same frames.
Maybe it's a Polish operation with a connection to a supplier akin to Yoeleo/Miracle or Speeder/Winspace, extra specifications or QC steps? Idk, not with those prices I don't think.
If I were looking at this frame, I'd order from Airwolf.
