Re: Carbonda CFR 1056 or VeloBuild 177?
Hey there

I was looking to buy VB 177, but reading this forum i came to conclusion that carbonda have overall better quality, but i really like 177 design, and would buy 1056 only if quality is significantly better, what do you think? My goal is to find a good, very stiff and responsive frame, like SL7.

I was also looking for ican a9, but their quality control is really bad from what i see.

Also, other frames suggestions will be good.

Maybe you should wait a little longer. Carbonda will soon start selling the FM 1136.
The geometry is similar to the 1056, but has been improved in a few points. Stiffer, more aero and lighter.

I already have the frame and the build quality is very good. I will post some more pictures soon.

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail Hi all

First post here. Have been following for a little while to get advice and inspiration for a new build, which I finished yesterday. So thought I’d contribute with info and experience in case useful/interesting for others.

Build list:

- FM1306a XL in RAL 1015 (light ivory)
- XMCarbonspeed wheelbuild KAS930C 29er T800 on DT Swiss 350 with Sapim
- Fox step cast 32
- Formula cura brakes
- SLX cranks, rear mech, XT chain, BB
- ZRACE chainring
- Sunshine cassette 10-50
- BikeYoke Divine SL dropper
- Selcof bars
- ZTTO XC stem
- Barzo tyres
- Cheap, light Ali saddle
- Risk grips and seat clamp
- Ritchey headset
- XT pedals

Weight 9.68Kg including cage and Garmin mount.

Dealing with Wing at Carbonda was great - really helpful and quick communication. The frame and paint quality seems first-rate, can’t find any faults at all. Likewise Peter at XMCarbonspeed. And the wheels arrived with me in the UK about 10 days after I paid for them - super fast!

Most of the Ali stuff looks decent, albeit yet to ride. The Sunshine cassette seemed harder to index than it should have been. The bar plugs that came with the Risk grips broke when fitting them. Otherwise all looks good.

I replaced the top section of the headset that Carbonda supplied with a Ritchey 1,1/2 to 1,1/8, based on feedback on another thread.

I’ll chop off the rest of the steerer once I’ve dialled the position - I think the -20 degree ZTTO stem might be a bit too aggressive….

Photos hopefully attached!

Re: Carbonda FM-1306A a 69° Hardtail Thanks. The gold bits are vinyl decals - good spot! I wasn’t 100% sure what to go with and so thought I’d experiment a bit. Actually a pretty close match to the kashima gold on the forks.

Good luck with your build, will be interested to see how it goes

Very nice build! Are the golden elements a part of the painting or did you add some golden adhesive?

My frame is somewhere between China and here... I can't wait to  hold it in my hands. And then having a sleepless night.

Carbonda FM1136 There will be a new model from Carbonda, the FM1136.
The geometry of the FM1136 is similar to the FM1056. However, some points are new:

  • it is lighter. T800 and T1000 fibres are used
  • the design is more aerodynamic
  • the chainstay is thicker
  • the fork no longer needs a fork crown.
  • BSA 68 thread. No more pressfit
  • still space for 32 mm tyres
My frame comes from the sample department of Flybike (Carbonda). The workmanship of the frame was awesome.
Weights of my frame (Size S) 1011g, fork (uncut) 502g.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003652531612.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.12.21ef1802mtK1GP and it has a significant amount of feedback over past half a year.

I have a TOSEEK flat carbon bar on my Spark and it has been excellent. Granted it's not the integrated unit you are looking at, but it maybe gives an indication as to the quality of the products TOSEEK produces/sells.  The fit and finish are perfect and it has held up without issue on my rides. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from TOSEEK again.

Re: Workswell WCB-G 358 Just received the frameset:

The quality seems to be very high, the paint is really smooth the transition from paint to the clear top tube is very good.
Around the headset there isn't chip or something else

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! This is cool if you're running older Shimano groupsets. Sensah has made their entire Shimano compatible shifters into carbon now.
