Re: New lightweight frames: Bigrock, Ican, and Onrii Ican added a video on their site with the actual frame. I think it actually looks really good with that head tube. Screenshots of the bike are also attached here.

Weight updated to 795g for a size 54.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes

Has anyone ever tried sewing the back of a cycling jersey onto a short?
Not as aero as a suit, but easier to have a good top/bottom fit, and keep the jersey in place.

For me this is the worst of all worlds. The main reasons I buy skinsuits is the cost savings and the aero benefit. But I suppose if your main concern is preventing the jersey from riding up, I don’t see why not!

I also think any attempt of mine to competently sew shorts to a jersey would be a catastrophe  ;D

Not yet,  but there is no reason this could not work. Besides the fact that joining to highly elastic parts needs some experience in sewing, especially in deciding how the edges should be aligned. To much tension and it feels bad.. wrong joining and it looks bad...

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Curious... Which one ?

A RYET one in white with carbon chassis.  I got a chance to ride one on a friend's bike for a limited time (2-3 miles). It was much more comfortable than I expected.  It's about the same weight as my current 'hard' saddles. It's shorter than what I normally ride and the nose is a bit wider, but I figured I would take a chance for 11.11.

Also, there is a facebook group dedicated to the WheelTop EDS but not many people using it so far.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
Yes, I hardly had better shorts than these for the price, just a bit short on legs compared to their other shorts.
I just asked them if they plan to make winter tights with the same pad.
If we are many asking, maybe they will move  8)
Great! I will go and ask them if they have the men equivalent.

They have much more men's styles  ;)
Although uncommon for clothing... for cycling clothing women's style is still much less available than men's.
Here are some photos. The thermo jersey is a slightly thinner than the spexcel type. I think it's possible to put it into one of the back bags .. that's what I usually did this summer, when I started early in the cold morning and ended lately in the warm afternoon.  I am not able to freeze the first 2 hours of a daytrip.

Re: Gravel bike project I've just finished building up this frame (although it is the Tantan GR048 with integrated cables). The quality of the frame looks good, and the headset area is uniform. The bearings fit securely without being difficult to press in. The frame also looked good on the inside, very smooth with no crinkles visible. Assembly went smoothly, but routing a mechanical groupset through the handlebars would've been a nightmare; even with Di2 it was tight in some spots. The full build with bottle cages, computer mount and pedals is 9.1kg. With a lighter saddle and removing the many heavy screws in the frame, it should go down to around 8.9kg

I've only went on one ride, but first impressions are good. Due to the longer wheelbase, slack steering angle and low BB, it feels very planted and stable on gravel, especially on descends. On the road it almost feels too stable though, coming from a more CX based frame (GR029). Definitely less agile and slower turning. The frame itself feels stiff and efficient, and the handlebars feel much stiffer than my previous Deda Superzero stem.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Important question before purchase, did you get a flat already ?  8)

With the electric pump, the nozzle is press on (non-screw) making field repairs much easier. I've had problems with both mini pumps and CO2 nozzles jamming the presta valve and/or even breaking them if not careful. At least from test at home, I'm confident it's a much better solution to carry an e-pump versus a standard pump. For gravel I still carry a canister of CO2 + e-pump, just in case the tire bead breaks and usually because I'm in more remote areas.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes My experience with YKY: amazing quality but sizing can be trial and error without consistency across models.

Their longsleeve jerseys run 1-2 sizes larger though. I bought European M and it was definitely at least an L.
On the contrary, their short sleeved jerseys fit true to size. A European M is an actual M.

Re: Onirii One I took the plunge and ordered the fully integrated Onirii One frameset. I'm guessing it will not arrive until the new year but I'll do my best to share pictures/info/weights when I receive it! Hoping to build it up into something nice by the end of january 8)
