Re: BXT-MTB-117 150mm AM bike This is PETG for size checking. If I decide to move forward, I will print from PA-CF20.
But what I see now makes me understand that petg does a good job - the plastic part can be made larger. For example:

I wanted to call you a ninja, then ofc my brain went there:

I had another look, i still dont see any crack :)

Re: First gravel frame (and first chinese frame)
Thanks a lot for your feedback; at the end I think i will go with Spcycle g058, for geometry (I tetsed a cannondale Topstone of a friend in size m and was quite ok, but if the future gravel should be little shorter I think is better for me) and design. I am considering solid or metallic paint; do their paint job worth the extra money?
Thanks

Just a note about Carbonda. $200 over the life of your bike is nothing, just maybe waiting a few months to save that extra amount if cash is tight.
I'm a fan of Carbonda because of the service that comes with it in case of trouble.
I ordered dozens of frames from them and never one failed, which is already something, but got some shipping loss... and they took care of everything.
And their new 505 model tick many good boxes for me.

Re: First gravel frame (and first chinese frame) Same here, out of the 4 framesets I ordered from china the past few years the Carbonda 696 was my first and the whole process went the smoothest. I also think you have the best chance at warranty if something goes wrong. With most Ali sellers the chance on getting warranty is very slim...

Re: First gravel frame (and first chinese frame)
My FM1002 and FM1003 feel great, have elevated my riding, and hold up under absolutely legendary levels of punishment. I expect the same from my 707 when it’s built.
My second gravel bike build, "elevated" my riding too.  It is based on a 29er hardtail, and the bottom bracket is "elevated" about 20mm higher than my other gravel bike.

Re: Carbonda FM 1003 / Flybike FM 1266 180mm "Super Enduro"
Matte white will be about the most difficult color to keep looking good. Should look bring, though, when it is :-)

Yeah this will be a bike park only bike so I just have to spiff it up once and while.  I am also hoping that matte frame protection film will help with some of the cleaning process

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame And this interesting https://www.detrailbikes.com/berg-155/
Looks like they put different rocker (Alu instead of carbon?) to squeeze more travel and increase progressivity of our topic. This is exactly what I want, may be not up to 155. Interesting approach instead of using FM1002...

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Isn't the support of the suspension a lot related to the shock tune? If I recall correctly, the FM1001 doesn't have an unusual leverage curve?

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame As per my info, FM1001 has flat and quite "low" leverage curve. It needs air shock with a lot of progressivity (small positive chamber) and IMHO and above average low speed compression damping. Guys at Detrail are clearly aware -> they put small chamber & highly damped Ohlins TTX1 on their most expensive build. Also, for their "Berg" model they designed & created new rocker link and market its 30% progressivity (clearly a design objective to remedy problem of zero progressivity of the origianal).

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame Thanks, make a lot of sense.

Sidebar: I enjoy enduro-mtb as a mag - nice pictures, etc. But boy, do they over-focus on little details and cut short the discussion on more substantive topics. Like that they find the handlebar too wide (cut it down, that's personal preference), or their always recurring point on casings...
