Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
I have another new finding to share about the EDS TX.

Today, I was clearing up my cabinets when I found an unsed Magene twin connector powermeter charging cable. The design looked sinisterly similar to the EDS TX singular head cable and I decided to plug them on both derailleurs with a leap of faith (similar to the time when I punched buy on TaoBao  :P )

Guess what!? It worked and the derailleurs are charged up full again. Guess I got lucky again with the new discovery. Now I can charge them at the same time with one cableset. Happy days. ;D

Are you in a position to compare the size of the brifters to Shimano ones? I must say this group is beginning to look very nice.

Re: Elitewheels Edge wheelset I run 30mm GP5000 S TR on my Edge wheels! I was worried getting them that I'd regret it and wish I had gotten the 28s, but I believe the newer GP 5000S are sized so that they are closer to the nominal dimension even with wider internal rims. My tires barely extend beyond the rim surface--I'm really happy with how flush they are. I would definitely not use 25s assuming they are now true to size--those would be very narrow.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I SPREAD EVERYTHING WITH CARBON FIBER PASTE AND TIGHTEN UP TO 17 NEWTONS BUT THE THREAD WAS DAMAGED.
THEN I REALIZED THAT THE PARTS AND THAT AREA OF THE POST ARE MADE OF ALUMINUM SO I REMOVED ALL THE PASTE, CLEANED IT WITH DEGREASER AND TIGHTENED IT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER PROVISIONAL SCREW TO 15 NEWTONS. AT THE MOMENT THE SADDLE HAS NOT BEEN LOOSENED AGAIN, I HAVE ALSO ORDERED THE TITANIUM SCREW. REALLY ALL THE HARDWARE THEY SEND IS OF VERY POOR QUALITY.

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
The more I look into this groupset the more I'm impressed. I like that they're solely focused on electronic groupsets and nothing else. Also their website seems better suited attracting an international audience. My only concern is long term support and access to parts.

Well only one way to find that out isn't it? Join me in the leap of faith lol  ;D

Frankly I am impressed that they actually replied to my message within the same day or less about the chainring spec issue. That aside, warranty is entirely a different monster. If your local area has no warranty, I believe a courier back to WheelTop could be necessary.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Am I late, or did LC finally and officially offer up the LCR017-D on their website now?

https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightcarbon-super-light-disc-brake-road-carbon-frameset-with-integrated-handlebar_p240.html

This frame is still in my radar but I'd have to donor everything off my Yishun R086-D frameset. While I don't absolutely love the look of the R086-D, I can't imagine the riding dynamics are significantly different from the LCR017-D. Then again, super light version and custom paint are enticing. And obviously I already have compatible handlebars, stem, and headset bearings.

EDIT: Also comes with threaded T47 versus BB86 pressfit. Such a well proportioned looking frame.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Finally catching up to this thread. Between this bike and other new bikes (like the TFSA options), I gotta say chinertown has really been spoiled with low-cost low-weight semi-aero bike options lately.   ;D

Re: Spcycle R065 700C Full Carbon AERO Road Disc Brake Frameset Looks pretty good. Definitely looks like the Aeroad which isn’t a bad thing because that’s a sexy bike. Really short stem options and wide bars without any narrow options so I would need a new cockpit that fits. Wish they would start making narrow bars with longer stem options (38/120). Curious what the derailleur hanger options are for a direct mount RD. What’s the price?

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame Same. Almost no issues with mine with an early frame (I think, no hole in the BB area). I haven't had issues with the axles, just getting used to having them in the right place to take the wheels out, primarily the back, the front one is easier.

I had one instance of the saddle tilting down but hasn't happened again since I applied more torque. No issues with the seat post slipping. No issues with holes in the bars either. Overall still very happy with how it's performing so far.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame Also no issues with seatpost slippage, just with the saddle tilt. Thru axles are definitely not ideal though.

Nice looking bike, hazzer!!

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame I have a 268 frameset coming my way next week, once paint is completed. The color is sick!
Looking forward to seeing what VB has been up to lately.

SRAM Force eTap 1x
Nepest Maui 45 Wheels (1282g)
Prime Bike Carbon Aero Bars
Bucklos 3D Printed Saddle

That’s the plan at least…
