Please start using Mywhoosh?
Being allergic to subscriptions, and finding Zwift to be awfully bad given: - how long they've been around (I recommend the interview of the CEO by DC Rainmaker, the CEO is an epic clown, it's pretty amazing), - how little they've innovated since inception (the graphics and 90% of the UI is THE SAME since day 1 (again, see the interview)), - and how much money they've burnt, i've tried a few alternatives. I think Mywhoosh has now reached a point when what it's missing most is users. I wish they'd pay me to say that, i'd happily shill for a totalitarian regime, but they dont. The graphics are much better than Zwift. I havent used it much, probably just under 10x, and it's buggy in various ways (for example sometimes you can overlap with another user, instead of moving to the side), the UI is pretty confusing because they have coins, and then 2 other types of coins that aren't coins, and you have to click to unlock things and what not, but it's honestly working quite well now. They added a ton of routes, worlds, and challenges, so it's gamified quite well. The aerodynamics modeling is rather dubious, which irritates me, but then again, the whole thing's free. Interestingly, the training section seems much better than Zwift's. I havent tried one yet, but i browsed a bit, and it looks legit. I will probably follow a plan to try it out. While i'm considering a trainer road subscription because i do think that personalized coaching is valuable, what you get from Zwift for the money they charge is, i think, a bottomless pit. You will own nothing and be happy The beatings will continue until morale improves. September 23, 2024, 12:40:13 PM |

Re: Coins On Aliexpress website
I have a Google pixel so that both China and the US get the same chance to spy on me from A to Z. One thing I appreciate on Android is that i have a button to deactivate the microphone. I'm sure it does nothing but illusion of control helps me sleep at night. I also have tape on my selfie camera. But I do have AliExpress app on my phone :/

Re: Please start using Mywhoosh?
Maybe it will force them to up their game. They've torched so much money from investors and the CEO sounds like such a tool, i wouldn't hold my breath. I'm level 32 on mywhoosh now (i transferred my points from zwift). The grahpics are way better, the workouts make a lot more sense and there's clearly been some input from real coaches. I run it on a mini pc with a really fast SSD, 16gb ram, and an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS. All the settings are maxed out. I dont love it though. The gamification isn't as good as zwift, so you're much less tempted to cycle the extra 5 - 10 - 15min because of X Y Z. There are more worlds and routes, but it's a bit bogus, in reality, you're criss crossing a lot. The avatar is a bit clunky, when you're out of the saddle, for eg. The interaction of the avatar w other avatar (overlap, moving aside) is quite bad. The aerodynamics are totally useless because i bought the TT bike and the disc, and i'm not going any faster. This is disappointing, i enjoyed geeking out on zwift finding the best gear for a course. But in the bigger scheme of things, I like it. I ve also used training peaks virtual a couple of times, it's not bad, but i think mywhoosh has much more potential. mywhoosh is trying various things, for a few weeks they had a complex coin / credits system, and this is largely gone, afaik. Given where Zwift is and when they started, vs where mywhoosh is vs when they started, it doesnt reflect well on zwift. It seems to me that zwift is focusing on getting more people on the game, with marketing, rather than improving the game in any meaningful way. That and being woke AF. Meanwhile mywhoosh is improving, and in graphics and structured training sessions alone, is streets ahead. January 14, 2025, 01:57:50 PM |

Re: TT-X42 Full Bike with Carbon and Wheeltop
Hello. I was a little ambitious - it's possible if you go with L-Twoo ER9 instead. Add another $150 USD or so for the Wheeltop groupset - maybe you could fit it within budget if you managed to time the coupons perfectly. Here's a similar build from individual parts (though the wheels and crank are probably a bit better)

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Where are the discounted 105 Di2's available? Anyone know if it's possible to get just the shifter+FD+RD+disc brake calipers+battery (minus crank, cassette, etc.)? https://a.aliexpress.com/_mq5ZADl February 27, 2025, 06:49:12 PM |

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Seems a lot of the sellers exclude the battery, only include the battery casing. Searched through LTWOO's site and manual but no mention of what battery types the battery case accepts. Anyone know? Any type 14500 batteries. 3,7v and 800mAh. Available anywhere at about 5 EUR a piece. Make sure that the +pole is not flat, there are two options for that. The raised pole is what you want. I've picked up 14500 3.7v 800mah batteries that were 51mm-53mm and they're too big. 51mm will barely fit, but I didn't feel comfortable because it put strain on the battery holder casing. Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Make sure that the +pole is not flat, there are two options for that. The raised pole is what you want. This is often called "button top". You want button top 14500 cells. And, you also want to make sure to get some without extra fancy features. Some offer special USB ports for charging the cell via usb or other things like that. You don't want any of that, and it might interfere with how the Ltwoo charger is supposed to work. February 28, 2025, 09:23:25 AM |

Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame
Looking at the photos, the fork legs seem sturdy....but if this does not translate into excessive rigidity while riding the bike on the road, well, I would say excellent result. My other road bike has a much more narrow fork. The R088 is a bit wider and thicker. Road chatter feels slightly more muted, especially on my 25c tubeless tires. On 28c tires, it's practically on cushions! One last observation. Lightweight bikes do feel physically a bit more fragile. I can bang around my 940g TFSA SL6 clone and not worry as much. My other 1150g gravel frameset is a straight up tank that can survive the off-road desert. The sub 790g R088 is like a dainty wallflower. It's stiff enough when riding, but I won't be tossing this bike around! February 28, 2025, 02:02:56 PM |

Re: TT-X42 Full Bike with Carbon and Wheeltop
Hi. I am 178cm and an inseam of 82cm. I got the 53cm. In hindsight, i could have gotten a size smaller however the toe overlap would be an issue. March 01, 2025, 01:36:58 AM |
