Re: Spcycle New Mold G056 Carbon Gravel Frame
SP-G056 is a light, reactive, and easy-to-handle bike with racing-comfort geometries, and able to adapt to the multiple uses required of a gravel bike.I’m sure its a great bike! Although im looking for a lower stack and a shorter chainstay. August 12, 2022, 01:20:38 PM |

Re: Airwolf YFR068 - 2023 Gravel Frame
Did not see the cervelo one. I would not put stickers like that on my own bike with all the custom options available. But I don't really care that the owner did, since it's his bike. You should also. So chill and stop being such a Karen, because you seem to be indignant af by this fact Not sure what is getting under your skin so much, just asking a few questions to understand the mindset here. I am totally cool with taking the elements of a good design and improving them. I think the patent / trademark system is pretty broken and abused. I am less cool with creating counterfeits with the intent to fool others and if you really believe in the big picture of wanting more brand diversity and more great open mold options, you should also care as counterfeits have historically competed against open mold frames for access to the western market via low volume resellers. Nice to meet you Mr. Chill, I guess I am Karen. October 06, 2023, 03:07:44 PM |

Re: New frame: Longteng RD301-D
Nice build, I am becoming more and more interested in this as an all-purpose bike! I don’t have calipers for exact measurements but hopefully these pics will help. The rim internal width is 22, and it looks like the 32s are 32 when inflated. There’s been a bunch of content recently from folks like Nero on “all road” bikes like the Enve Melee and Ribble Allroad, which is interesting because I think this frame fits in that category: not an aggressive racing geometry, but not upright like endurance bikes - it sits in the middle where comfort and speed intersect. With a bit of room for rough pavement / light gravel. That’s exactly what I’m looking for, let’s see how this thing actually rides when the weather cooperates. November 05, 2024, 02:19:18 AM |

Re: New VeloBuild gravel race frame in the works...
If I was designing a frame, the last thing I'd do is ask a bunch of random internet strangers what features/geometry it should have. raisinberry777 wins, we'll go with this ![]() In all seriousness, thank you to everyone for taking the time to share your feedback and comments. We think you'll be happy with the end result! We'll be sure share updates here as soon as we can. February 22, 2025, 12:15:02 AM |

Re: Seraph Bikes Superlight 836g X68 - Alternative to SL8 Fakes?
I'm new to the forum and to the whole chinese cycling world, please take this into consideration. The book "factfulness" should be read in schools. It reminds us that things move on, whether we pay attention to it or not. China used to be very poor and unskilled. Now you can't count the interviews of very switched on people who point to China no longer 1. having cheap labor 2. only knowing to copy 3. only making crap (think Apple CEO, Uber CEO, Microsoft CEO, and so on). You can also look at the case of gopro vs DJI & Insta360. Gopro (USA) is as good as dead, and failed on multiple fronts (drones, remaining the GOAT of action cameras). DJI & Insta360 (China) are leading the way now, doing both the production and, importantly, the innovation. From that, you will find crap made in China, but you will also find the high end. This forum is about identifying the good factories from the bad ones. Yes, Tantan is safe, but no, they're not perfect (lots of QC problems reported here). To be fair, they are a big animal churning out a lot of frames, so statistically, maybe we should expect a high number of duds, assuming a constant dud rate across the industry. Most factories do NOT produce copies / fakes. I ride an open mould, for eg (Long teng 268, i posted about it many times). Also, because of aero design & UCI rules, frames tend to look alike now more than a few years back though. Long teng, Speeder, xiamen carbon speed, velobuild are names i'd recommend. I wouldn't buy from Winow for various reasons. And to be sure, paying more is absolutely no guarantee of getting more for your money. A lot of chinese pseudo brands are selling for 1k what you can get from another one for 500, minus the paint job. Often, you will find, unsurprisingly, that the "brands" promoted on youtube are the worst value (yoeleo is one perfect example of a 500 frame sold for 1000 because of the marketing / branding / referral codes). This forum is truly a great resource. February 22, 2025, 12:57:54 AM |

Re: New VeloBuild gravel race frame in the works...
Since I have had a Giant Revolt and tried to convert that into my 2 in 1 gravel and road bike but suffice to say that I determined the biggest factor for that Racier feel is the drom roll; CHAINSTAY LENGTH! it should be 420 or even lesser and should be made stiffer. I don't know if max clearance should only be up to 47mm tires but this is very important. Thanks for coming to my ted talk February 24, 2025, 09:12:01 PM |
