Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion I don't know for sure, how the sales model works, but i think 10% is pretty much the commission a sourcing agent would charge you to find a product. On the other end, not sure if factory selling agents would make more or less. That vs. the 2x markup you pay a Chinese brand or the 3x markup you pay a "western" relabeling operation is the primary reason why "factory direct" is cheaper.

Aggressively calling out Leon was going to lead to someone posting something personally or culturally insulting, which we got via the comment calling him a "typical Chinese shitbag seller." That probably leads Leon to stop offering deals to members of the forum.

Re: LightCarbon 918?
Undecided between this and the 917 (aka 919).  I like the idea of two bottle cages.   I want to use parts from a donor bike and hoping to transfer across.
Do you think this can run a 130mm fork and a 120mm shock?
Also will a SRAM NX X Sync ring with 30T boost 3mm offset work with this BB (sorry I am noob with this)

the fork will be fine, the shock needs to be the correct length and stroke, so most likely not.  and the crank will be fine.  you may need a new BB depending on what your donor bike had for BB shell.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! For brake and shift cables, I can't emphasize how good these gold cables are. On my Juin Tech F1 equipped bikes the gold brake cables feel more firm with no sponginess. I've also ordered their gold shift cables, but standard shift cables work fine for me.

This Newbike choice store has the cheapest prices that I've seen:

I think gold are better though.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
Hello,

I purchased a LCR017 in June and received it a few months later, paid 712$, a bit less than you because I didn’t ask any customization. Did you request any "z tier" when ordering your frame?
Upon inspecting my frame, I discovered significant voids in the upper seat tube area. I reached out to my sales contact, Carol, regarding this issue but have not received a response yet (WhatsApp and email). I also used the contact form on the Lightcarbon website to inquire about my frame situation.
Just to clarify, I am not seeking for clicks on my YouTube channel, as someone suggested in response to one of my comments on Hambini's video about the same frame model. I simply want to share my experience with the Lightcarbon. Here's the video,
Eventually, I will do another one if Lightcarbon keeps quite about my case.
Thanks Tiago

Did Lightcarbon ask you to remove the post linking the youtube showing the substandard frame in order for them to ship you out a new frame?

Re: British professional team glued fake UCI compliance stickers to bikes purchased
"Wuhan Weapon" should become a trending phase on this forum. I quite like it.

Wuhan is the town where the P4 lab from which covid leaked is. Xiamen is where carbon bike stuff is made. I'm not sure whether people making these stickers are a bit dim and meant xiamen, or if the covid reference is deliberate. Either way, i think having xiamen weapon would be acknowledging Chinese's hegemony in the carbon bike market, while wuhan weapon is rather cringe.

Re: British professional team glued fake UCI compliance stickers to bikes purchased
Pondering on this frame, but doesn't seem very popular on these forums.  Anyone have experience with this frame?

If you forget the cheese frame sent to a Brazilian customer (or Portuguese?), and if it happens to be normal to be able to flex the down tube with your thumb (honestly i'm not sure if it's a feature or a bug), and a few other issues i'm forgetting with the 17D, Lightcarbon on this forum has good reputation, as far as i can tell (I considered the 17D myself until i saw the shape of the down tube, at which point i lost interest & track). Dengfu or Tantan, for example, have a lot of horror stories about them. Much fewer w Lightcarbon.

Re: British professional team glued fake UCI compliance stickers to bikes purchased same frame and UCI-approved.
The UCI certification is simply due to the brand...

Same frame and not UCI approved.
In Germany, the Leeze factory team still rides with these parts in the amateur and elite amateur classes and nobody has ever been interested.

The problem is you are just too smart for this forum... you should go somewhere where everyone already knows everything and nobody asks questions.
