Re: YBN not available to Canada
I'm running into the same issues with a lot of items I wanted to get but won't ship to Canada. Thanks for the links. Get it? Links? April 04, 2024, 10:24:29 AM |

Re: Wheeltop EDS GeX
If you're in North America, there is now a wheeltop.us. Still shipped and serviced from China but legit 'local' factory store. You might have a problem sourcing for that config though. AFAIK, the cable brake configuration is only available in the 'road' set and its RD only support 36t max sprocket. The GeX 'gravel' setup can go to 51t (or 40 something with the short cage) but appears to only hydraulic brakes. So the question is whether you can buy the shifter/brake unit from the road kit and use it with the gravel RD. In THEORY I see no reason why it couldn't since the gravel shifters are really road shifter anyway. But it is possible that the combo is software locked. I'd ask Wheeltop directly what parts to get. They seem reasonably responsive to sales questions. February 18, 2025, 06:15:51 PM |

Re: Wheeltop EDS GeX
You want GeX with the mechanical braking shifter and 73mm cage combination. Those shifters are available for GeX.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
crap! I like their bibs with the red pad and it is super comfortable even when used indoors for several hours.Been buying Cheji kit for years (well since 2021) and it is not unusual for the AliExpress store not to have any products listed, especially around Chinese New Year (they normally take a couple weeks off). I would not be worried, they should be back shortly. February 18, 2025, 11:51:33 PM |

Re: chinese carbon saddles
ah I'm eyeing the SQLab 612 as well. Good thing there's a bike shop here that can help ID the actual size before purchasing so that might be a better route for me then. Sounds good! You can always measure your sit bone distance at home to have an idea of the size you need. Maybe you already know all this, if not, this is how I do it: 1. Put a towel on a hard surface, place a piece of tinfoil on top and sit down. 2. Then check the table in Step #3 in this page: https://www.sq-lab.com/en/ergonomics/sit-bone-measurement-for-bike-saddles 3. Add the X cm that suits your riding position to the seat bone distance you measured, which will give you the width of the saddle you need. Every saddle manufacturer tells you to add a different X amount, no consensus, so it is always better to try the saddle first or buy it somewhere where you can return it if it does not work for you ![]() March 05, 2025, 12:21:20 PM |
