Re: TanTan TT-X21 frame Hi everyone,

I'm refreshing this topic to show you my future bike!

This is my first experience with TanTan and I'm very satisfied with the service so far. I had very specific requirements for this turnkey bike, and Rose from TanTan was very helpful.  Here are the photos I received today.

Description :
TT-X21 custom paint Size 56
50mm carbon rims with Continental GP500
Shimano 105 Di2

They should ship it this week, I can't wait to receive it.

I will update as soon.

Yishunbike R096-D Endurance Frame Against the current trend, I got no Aero frame. I settled for a more relaxed riding position and the R096-D was an awesome middleground between price and quality.

I had no real building issues. Cable routing was super easy. The thru axle got messed up and I definetly have to recut the thread, if I disassemble it the next time. The headset gap isn't even, but that seems to be a general issue with the mold. Other customers had the same result.

I made a 20k and 60k ride and no creaking.
7.3kg before pedals and bottle cage.

Build:
Frame: Yishun R096-D (with Fork and integrated Handlebar)
Wheelset: Yishun 206DB-RBD50C (in the set 1370€ incl. shipping)
Groupset: Ultegra 8000 11speed (700€)
Saddle: Ryet 3D 135mm width
Seatpost: Elita One
Paddles: Wellgo SPD... so I can use the same shoes like for my gravel bike
Bartape: ZTTO
Seatpost Clamp, Stem cover: ZTTO
Chain: Waxed ZTTO 12s
Tires: GP5000
Tubes: Offbondage
Shifter casing: Shimano OT41 red
Hydraulic hoses: No idea, Aliexpress

With tools and everything I spent almost 2.500€

Just ordered the Winspace C5. Appreciate Ali tips on Shimano Groupsets After long deliberation and a lot of comparisons, ordered the C5 in Roubaix colour. Any tips on Ali Express sites for groupsets appreciated. Looking for wireless Di2 Ultegra. Probably will not worry about a crankset because will get a Magene spider power meter.

Tantan FM639 (you have to see the paint) When I pulled it out of the box I was speechless

Going for a semi weight/watt weenie build; build sheet says it should be about 6.5kg with pedals but we will see.

Re: ICAN FL1 Finally finished my build a couple of weeks ago. I waited to take it out until I thought I had a clear day and of course got utterly soaked. The shite weather notwithstanding, I am super happy with the ride. It feels super responsive, stiff and fast, especially as compared to the Orbea Orca I had been riding for a couple of years. The Fl1 feels like a proper race bike. I originally got it for big mountain climbing, but based on how fast it goes especially with these wheels on the flat, I'm definitely going to do some crit racing on it this year.

Final weight with pedals, cages and computer mount is about 7.2kg.

Specs: FL1 size 52cm
Shimano Ultegra 12 speed Di2
Elilee 165mm carbon crank
Xm carbon speed 55/50 28 external width with 5.2mm carbon spokes
Lightcarbon integrated bar/stem 38 by 110

Re: Hong-Fu Fm238 endurance-ish frame
Yes it's not cheap, but from the quotes I got the closest competitor looks to be the Carbonda 1136 that's even more expensive

It's more or less at the same price.

At that amount I sell western bikes :) Brand sells and riding a Merida Scultura 5000 with 105 di2 and Elite Carbon wheels for 2.4K/2.5 sells way more than a non-brand china build with di2 and carbon wheels for the same price or more.

There is a seller here in the forum pietro or similar who was going to create an endurance frame but price seemed to be even higher.

If you want my two cents, and what I build most, get a velobuild 066 or a Tantan FM202/og-evkin etc. Still endurance, nice a bit more traditional design but trustworthy.

I was dared by a client to build the most budget friendly carbon 10/11speed hydraulic disc brake xD. I'm gonna try to do it under 1K

Keep us updated on that build. Do you know what frame you are starting with?

Yeap!

Ordered already all the parts (I think). I'll disclose everything in a post as soon as I receive and analyse the quality of the different parts. But I can say already that if everything goes well I managed to be under 1k (pedals not included but could)
