Long shot I know but JIC- I have an XL frame I'd like to trade for a M.

I rode it for one season, really liked it but ended up on an XXL Spire that fits me better at 6'4".  Was really impressed with the frame though and would like to build one for my wife.  I'm in north Idaho, probably best to stick to states/ Can for shipping purposes.

Frame is in great shape with no issues, major dings, etc.

Hi,
So lot of good information here ! i have finaly ordered an L frame and a set of 29 Wheels.
Now i must find all the other pieces.
Question about the fork and geometry : it is written on the data front fork must be 160-170mm. What is it best to buy ?, a 160mm or a 170mm ? it is linked with the choice with rear suspension ?
Thanks
PS : excuse me for poor english !

Either would be fine.  I'm pretty happy with a Mezzer up front at 170 for a bike that does everything.  I wish it was a little quicker to adjust.  I think I'd like it at 160 for longer backcountry rides with steep singletrack climbs and 180 for ski area stuff but 170 seems a nice middle ground.  No wrong answer really.  Just depends on your riding style and choice of set up.  The nice thing about a fork that adjusts without additional parts or expense is you can try them all and see what works better for you.

Simon-
Just checked out your pics, looks like you're running 27.5 x 2.4.  I went through this on my last bike, finally caved and went 29 and cured all the problems I had with pedal strikes in tech sections and really didn't give up much of the fun factor.  If you're willing to make the trade off for the bigger wheels, I can attest that it rides great and still carves like mad with the 29ers.

No major issues with pedal strikes either but I'm running 29 x 2.6 rear, 3.0 front and a Mezzer at 170mm.  I'm also running an Absolute Black chain guide/ bashguard combo.  Haven't actually measured bb height but seems to do fine in chunky, rocky tech... only noticed hitting the bashguard a few times so far.

I'm running a Mara Pro shock (had to use the smaller air can to clear frame) and it seems to stay up in the travel nicely.

If you're already running a tall set up, it might just be getting used to a longer front center?

New to the forum and I'm wondering how some of you guys decided on a frame size? I typically ride a large but I'm on the fence about ordering an XL this go around. I'm 6'2.

I'm 6'4" and wouldn't mind if the XL was slightly bigger... think you'd be good.  I'd try and do the calculation on the seat tube/ crank length/ desired dropper length on this bike.  If that part works for you I'd think you'd like the XL.

Hi everyone! I am starting a build using this frame and i have a question concerning the linkage bolts that crack the frame when you try to loosen them. Someone in this thread mentioned that he couldn't take them off without damaging the carbon, anyone else got that problem? Also,
I would love to hear about how the bike behaves in different circumstances and see more pictures of your builds!

Cheers,
Simon

I asked about this issue before ordering and if they had fixed this problem and John responded "Yes, we have improve this issue after get feedback from customer..."
No details on how or what they did.  If anyone receives one shortly, I'm curious myself on what was done.  Sounds like I won't see mine for another month or so.

What size did you order?  Does the geometry look close to stated?

Any pics of tire clearance?  Hoping to run a full size 29x2.6.

Initial impressions?  Any problems with the build or anything off spec?

Would love to order one but looks like they are out until end of April.

I was quoted $720 plus $253 (ouch) to ship to US.
