Velobuild it's demonstrating to have the dumbest customer service.
To avoid paying a single wheel I'm sure they're loosing many future customers
No one will buy velobuild after reading your experience and the 168 thread

(I've got a 168 as well, really not satisfied)

Hello!

Do you know anything about this bars?

I want to buy the Hb 010, it's lightweight, has a short reach and cost around 50€....

I gave a look a the carbon stems, really nice, can I trust them?

as i said before i had quite a bad experience with my 168.
the seatpost was continuosly slipping
The integrated handlebar clamp was too loose, no way to fit it on the fork, plus, the holes for the head spacers were misaligned.
the hole for the housing in the fork had a small crack

fot those problems chris replied that evereything was normal...

What is the specs of the seatpost clamp hex socket cap bolt?
My 177 had slipping seatpost issues and I think it is solved now.
My VB177 seatpost clamp came with a M6/35mm hex socket cap bolt.
I swapped it with the M6/30mm hex socket cap bolt from my 099 seatpost clamp and my seatpost slipping issues seam to have disappeared after over 100km of testing.
I'm not sure if the seat clamps would be similar but maybe you can try this option.
I'm gonna check it, thank you very much

forgot to mention a couple of things:

i had to swap the upper headset bearing with the specialized one, the one that come with the frame was too low.

the handlebar cant hold still on the fork, even screwing the bolts over 5nm it keeps turning on the fork, there was so much room that i could place a layer of tape between the two parts to solve the problem

Looking to build another R-168. Have a few questions for all the people who've recently done it (my finished build is on page 12).

- How long does it take from order to shipping for the R-168 these days? I ordered early last year before it got super backed up.
- Are people still using the Wheels MFG BB86/92? Is there a cheaper solution that's still better than pressfit?
- I'm 5'8" and am really happy I got the 52cm. Next bike is for my wife who is 5'5". I'm thinking to get a 52cm again, but wondering if anyone has any thoughts about the 49cm (SL7 sizing chart would still recommend 52cm).
- How's the new integrated handlebar? Does it regress in any way? Once I figured out the old one, it's been smooth sailing, and I actually prefer the lack of exposed bolts.
- I got matte last time, but plan to get that awesome blue paint job that @zdrenka89 and @memebike have. Is there anything to watch out for?
- Non-VB wise, I got a 25mm width wheelset (ICAN) last time for 28mm tubeless tires. Was that wrong? Should I have instead bought a 23mm width wheelset?

just finished mine, not 100% happy about it to be honest.
The integrated bar in scaring me, it flexes a lot. plus the holes for the spacer's pin are misalligned.
the bb30 holes look a little loose.

idk if that happen to the other as well, but when i get up and push on the pedal you can feel some flex cause at every push you can hear the front disc touching the brake caliper

Component Deals & Selection / Re: New Wheel Day - Elite Wheels BWT Disc
« on: September 13, 2021, 03:41:03 PM »
Short review.

The RD13 hub is noisy as all hell!  I know some people love this, and I can see some cases where it is useful, but Elite was not lying when they gave the hub a sound score of 4/10
Had to install 6-bolt to centerlock adapters.  It would not fit over the rear wheel.  Can't tell if it was the machining on the adapters, or the hub.  Default logic says it was the cheaper part (the adapter)

This was my first time mounting tubeless, but it was super easy.  I am also the Michelin Power Road tire, which is apparently one of the easiest tubeless to mount.

I have not had a chance to run these in crosswinds, so I cannot report on stability.
I've ordered a set of ent disc, hope my hubs will be loud as yours, I would love that

I agree, re: handlebar. Should I angle it down or should I cut the fork more? Also my saddle is at the completely wrong angle.

Ah, that's the grease from packing the bottom bearing in the headtube, I missed cleaning that up before taking a photo/first ride.
Before cutting just lower the stem with spacers, than you can cut it, just find your position before

Nice job, the handlebar is way too high btw.
Can you post another pic of the fork? It looks like it's bleeding

Welcome, and nice view!

I'll be in Cannobio for a week in October. Any good spots to rent a bike and take a ride on dirt? Plan on exploring the mountains and hiking but pedaling some would be nice.
Thanks, I don't know the area, but I'm sure that you can find many path on komoot, the area should be magnificent
