Turned out that the DS lower bearing was not pressed completely home and as a result the spacer was sitting slightly into the frame mount resulting in a gap. Pressed it home and all was fine.

I've since ridden the bike and it's spectacularly good - climbs beautifully and very assured on the downhills.

Hi -

Light Carbon 917 almost finished.

First time building an FS bike, although built loads of hardtails and road/gravel bikes.

My one niggle is I have clearance on the trunnion mount that I'm not happy with. It's 0.2mm on the NDS side which I can live with but a whopping 1.1mm on the DS which I think will put undue stress on the shock mounts when torqued up.

Is this to be expected and what do people generally do in this case? I have a 3D printer so could print a spacer easily enough and as its only in compression it should be solid enough.
