Received aero socks today. Obviously can't try because it's below freezing and unlikely to notice a difference, but wouldn't this stitch line sticking out pretty much negate the aero gains all on its own?

It's one of the bikes that was featured so much on youtube that I definitely felt something was wrong. The raised top tube is one of the dumbest gimmicks I've seen recently, I really don't see the point, makes the bike look like it has no shoulders for a ridiculous aero gain

Received the massive cheap haul that made me question whether I had become a consumerist degenerate, consisting of 3 TPU tubes, 2 computer mounts, a pair of brake pads, 2 bottle cages and the pair of glasses (18€ total) that were discussed above, that I want to address in particular:

They are not worth it. They look great but they are very cheaply made, the glass is a little loose, the branch hinges rattle, the lens is very dark and there is still a gap where wind and bugs can fly under.

Thoughts on this super light, one piece $100 stem? Size 100 clocks in at 68 grams. Disaster waiting to happen?

I think this was discussed somewhere in another thread. Someone worded it nicely, only buy if you don't value your teeth. A cheap copy of an already very fragile product can't be trustworthy. If you're that worried about weight, the classic cheap UNO stem and shaving your pubes will yield the same result for cheaper and is safer

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before; also it's neither specifically bike-related nor regarding any one particular product, but for a week now or so I've been seeing "3+ items from US $1,99" on the ali startpage, which should actually be "from US $1,79" cause that's where it starts now (EU-pricing here). Not sure, if this geo-specific or anything.

Between a lot of bargain-bin rubble, you'll find some nice stuff for very little money with free shipping. Now, most of it goes for cheap all year round, but not necessarily under-2-bucks-shipped cheap (granted you pick at least 3 different items).  For example, they have some of those cheaper SCVCN glasses mentioned in this thread a few pages earlier (x62, 63, 64) in that price tier.
