total cost will be around 1700$ I think, weight should be around 20lbs. bulk of the cost of course is in frame and wheelset

Thanks, I am enjoying the hunting for information, parts and also the documenting. The build will be vastly overdone vs my needs as I mostly ride with my 5yo, but it’s a cool project that I am sharing with my son so definitely worth it!

The cassette came without the lockring, any good spot to buy one? I am not too sur which one I need exactly, XD compatible is my only clue, not sure if they are any other considerations

Good’ol mechanical to the rescue, new L-Twoo TX. Honestly very nice finish, shifter click are crisp pour no load so it doesn’t mean much. Up 3 cogs on a push.
