i mounted tubeless on velobuild rims, i changed the tape, front worked fine
rear didn't, was an old tire
after checking in a water bath i knew that the tape worked find but, the tire didn't
i used Schwalbe milk which is very thin, milkit or mucoff definitly works better,
i switched to a new TLR tire and no problems

Hi,

mounted sram AXS force disc
detached it from the lever, you will have to shorten it anyway
started at the rear,
attention don't install the bottom bracket before finishing the brakes

use a noise protecting housing damper like this

Riding the VB-R-168 plus carbonwheels from velobuild now for half a year,
very satisfied,
the only thing i dont't like is the aero seatpost, as you don't get any replacement or variations like 0 offset
maybe VB-R-177 is a better choice

i didn't had any issues like cable routing or headset/sparcers as metioned by other users

full recomondation from my side

Hey All!

New member and first post in this forum. I've done my best to research this entire thread prior. Thanks for all the details.
Has anyone built up a 168 frame using the "2021 Handlebar With Separate Stem" combo instead of the supplied integrated handlebars?

The integrated handlebar options don't work me, as I need longer stem and narrow width bars (120mm / 40mm). Just wondering if internal cable routing will still work.

I plan to order a size 56 frame. For reference I am 6 feet tall (183cm). Long legs/arms, short torso. Wingspan is 6'3" (190cm)
Currently I own an Allez Sprint size 56 running a 130mm -17 stem  8)

Thanks in advance!

take this one in 440/100 as you can see on the picture there is a curvature forward, app. 2-3 cm,
i took 440/120 and thinking about buying the straight one

I used montana cans, spraying was very good,
But the Color is very soft, íf you use an Assembly stand for example
You See the clamp afterwards
Used a primer for Alloy
Paint normal black
And matt finish

How can you adjust the tension on such a Frame?

i think there is a mistake
chameleon is not achieved by mixing two colours or three,

this are ready colours green/purple or so
you have to ask chris which chameleon colours he is able to paint,

if you like you can add a fade effect into black

i choose green/purple which is very dark,
means low light nearly black
normal light dark green
sunshine green with purple

pictures at the start of the thread

Seatpost cover specialized Tarmac

does this work?
don't think so, as the bolt to fix the seatpost at the tarmac is on the upside therefor the cover has a small nipple which fits in the bolt
the VB-R 168 has the bolt below the top tube

Update on the build
shifting works fine,
some issues with the frame to get it running,
chainring to Big, vorher crankset but now it works

love the colours
now waiting for brakes
