Great deals!  Wish we had some like that in the US. It does seem UK has many better deals on biking stuff. Even the secondary market is quite a bit less.

Optimizing frames for minimal weight, durability and cost is still very time consuming and expensive.  Most Chinese carbon frame manufacturers, higher end frames are in the 80% range for weight,durability and cost.   China tends to lag behind a couple years in the latest fabrication processes that the high end frame manufacturers utilize.
 

I would absolutely agree as many of the sellers on Ali are offering basically the same rim with slightly different build options.  Summer are definitely better than others though. Both in quality and service.

Does YISHUNBIKE do one offs to consumers at all?  The R1088 is a nice looking frame.

Some interesting info on frames on this site. I have more experience on the rim side of things having build a lot of them for myself and friends over the last decade. I think generally a rim is a lot less complicated and much easier to produce an acceptable product. Likely why there are dang many pop up companies out there the last 4-5 years. Carbon wheels used to be extremely expensive from the big names, but competition from one offs has really driven them lower.

I would even venture to say a number of the one offs have surpassed big names offerings. Winspace, etc have reset expectations for what $1200 can buy.

The Winspace frame does look nice but they are approaching big brand prices with some of their newer offerings at $2000.  Unless you have components already I think we're getting into that range of some lower spec big brands and we're starting to see discounting again at the retail level.

I bought a workswell open mold about 7 yrs ago. Sweet looking bike but I was really unimpressed with the quality and layup. The bike was really flexy on the top tube and the headset was complete garbage.

I've been skiddish many open mold frames since. I've had no major issues with rims from most suppliers (and I beat em hard on my MTBs), but just haven't gone back to trying a frame.

I have a pair of wheels and a disc rear ordered. They are very responsive!!  One of the best. Ended up doing some customizations with decals and mismatch rims. Haven't shipped yet but I'm looking forward to getting them. Seems like you can pretty much built them how you want and they'll accommodate.

I can keep this post updated if people want.

I ordered their carbon spoke x weave 19 IW wheels with rim brakes and star ratchet hubs. 60F 75R. I asked for custom logos (I've ordered rims and hubs from a number of suppliers on Ali and elsewhere.... And built them for my bikes, family, and friends).  I also ordered a Disc Rear wheel with the same rim width.

Total price was around $1450 for all three.  Custom logo placement added about $100.  Attached are renderings of the logos on the wheels.

I'm definitely curious on these.  If they check out good, I'd say it's been a good experience.  I had a ton of questions and they answered everything in a timely fashion. If the product is good, I'd endorse them. Still waiting to find out though.

Wondering if anyone knows a good option to have some custom wheel decals made.

I have a logo for some wheels I make for friends and family but used up all my decal stock. Have a new project and would like to redo my design a bit...I'm not super good with illustration software and don't know a good option to actually have them cut or printed.

Any thoughts?
