Finally arrived ... isn't it incredible beautiful?

Goodies it will be mounted with:

- Fox 34 Factory SC 120mm
- Sidluxe ultimate 165x38 (unless a Fox factory 165x38/40 crosses in front of my eyes)
- 1320g  'real weighted' Carbon wheels (rims: Go Zone, hub: DT350),
- Transmission: GX AXS.
- Brakes: XT 8120m (4-pistons)
- Handlebar: Lexon Ryet Ergo 16 (integrated stem)
- Seat (EC90/Balugoe) and seatpost (Elita One)
- Tyres: Maxxis Forekaster 2.35 (both front and rear).

That fantastic Zniino gravel bar (Surly Cornerbar knock off) has dropped in price and is now $60~ with free shipping - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804059388076.html
I got same for $90 about 2 months ago. No hidden cables but the design is clever and comfortable.

Unsolicited YouTube video of mine :)

I have ordered the riot, but it has not arrived yet (the seller told me there was some stock issue with the color I wanted, which is that 'dirty white' that I like so much). The geometry seems a bit more modern, and for me having BSA was a plus. The only two downsides I see from it: only one bottle cage support, and placed a bit too high so without adapters you can only use small bottles. b) no sram UDH hanger. If they corrected these two issues it would be, on the paper and to my taste, a perfect frame for XC/light trial

Wow, at that price there is no way I would get them instead of 105 di2.

1) check that the cable is routed correctly, mine was not.
2) there is a screw, if I remember correctly it is on the side of the clamp / the one that faces the handlebar, to adjust the tightness. Maybe yours is too loose / tight.

Speaking of shipping...  (Just venting here)
Presently, I have 2 problems in terms of shipping.

One item ordered Feb. 7th that arrived in New York on March 17th, stated on 3/19/23 Out for delivery [United States]United States ,Arrived JingWai Transit Ju  .   Grrr.

Second item, a set of ZTTO hydraulic brakes was ordered on March 7th, says that on 2023-03-20 19:33 Delivered MIAMI, FL 33181, Delivered, at mailbox.  Problem is that I live in Montana, not in Florida.  Seller is being no help at all.   They responded:

The specific date of the delivery time cannot be guaranteed. Please understand the inconvenience caused to you. If the goods are not received within the time limit, you can apply for a refund. However, if the goods arrive, please return them to us. The freight is at your own expense. Do you think it is OK

Basically they say file for an Aliexpress refund after the delivery time limit expires.  (That's like May 7th.)  I guess I will try to start the refund process.

Fake shipment tracking number. I am sorry but that seller is trying to scam you. Open a dispute.

I gave up on Chinese rotors after finding out that low end Shimano rotors are better performers and not too expensive. In current sale 5 off 30, bought 6 of these (SM RT30) for $50

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqvpf0w

Oh and unrelated but possibly interesting. Some latest Shimano CUES stuff is already on AliExpress, like the U8000 brakeset: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805190097103.html
Out of curiosity I searched the entire site for other CUES stuff but the pathetic search doesn't return anything except above

Are you aware that  most Shimano stuff there is in AliExpress is fake? Including fake XT pedals, fake chains, etc. I don't buy 'original' parts in AliExpress anymore. Fake or overly expensive. They sell the fake XT pedals at basically the same price as the originals in Amazon. Nonsense

Hi all,

Interested in this frameset (or the Lexon spirit, still not sure which one to pick). Just one question:

I am currently running a Lexon reverse in size L, which fits perfectly. This is a super short frame in reach and has a very tall stack. I am 175 cm tall (5'9") with super long 86cm inseam (34") but rather mid-size to short arms. That means that the distance from BB to saddle is 76cm or so.

Now, the Lexon Riot has a significantly longer reach than Lexon reverse (3cm or so) for a shorter stack, but the top tube is comparable (i.e. you sit much more in the vertical of the bottom bracket I guess).

So I was tempted to get a M size, which is what the seller also suggests (their fitting chart also suggests a M for the Reverse btw). The problem I see, apart from having a lower handlebar position, is that I need probably a seatpost of 42+ cm to get that 76cm total saddle-BB length (assuming 10cm are inside the seat tube). These are not as common as the <=40cm posts.

I wonder if maybe it is better to get a size L and pick a super short stem? Any thoughts?

So likely ~800-900 EUR. I am afraid I would rather go to shimano 105 di2...

I haven't tried the Juin Tech, but the zrace br002 were a bit shitty. Having hydros now I wouldn't consider going back to mechanical.

I use the RX4 from Ali.

I am happy with my Flyxii02 (flybike 616). Even more relaxed than the carbonda 696 (flybike 696) with slighly shorter reach.

I never weighted the frame and fork. How much does it weight and what size did you choose?

It looks nice, doesn't it?

He didn't even care to answer an email I sent to Joe (chinacycling) and him sharing my impression on the groupset (also it was me who told him about the silly screw to soften the shift lever). Joe answered and we exchanged a few tips and tricks, but Luke (tracevelo) never did. Megh.

Also, his build is nice, but he is dangerously getting to a budget that is no longer cheap compared to good/decent store/boutique bikes. For 3000 bucks you can get an electronic hydraulic bike from a 'western' brand with warranty, which in addition is endurance so no ugly spacers under the stem ...
