question for the well connected guys: when can we expect to see the new L-TWOO T5 series groupset? any info on spec? will it be available in 11s, 12s? weight? I hope they keep the graphic as per what is being shown on some youtube video, nice and discreet, says quality much more than red or gold decal to me!

I asked SP cycle if they would give that paint style a god, in dark green or candy red, I should hear back tomorrow…
Carbondale frame are a bit out of my reach.

You don’t have enough of either to “blend” the paint job rather than having that sortante effect?

It’s juste the pace at which market moves and investors expected returns. It’s quick and easy to get a product that works 95% of the time, let the early adopters be the beta testers. Look at Tesla, and to a certain extent, bmw/VAG/Mercedes, they are not what they used to be in term of dependability because of that forced development pace…

Not much luck so far, I didn’t find cranks with square holes in 120-130 so I will have the replace the spindle too. Found a goodie crankset that fits the bill, I will have to buy some tools to be able to make the change :/

So it is 145mm, and square hole crankset. Off to AliExpress to try and find some 30/32T with 120/130mm cranks (10%of his height according to this http://www.bikesmithdesign.com/Short_Cranks/cranks4kids.html) Crankset is one piece so no choice but replacing cranks too…

I looked after the post was up, appreciate the guidance. Like many paints, sun truly shows the depth and variation on non flat surface. This one is truly superb!

So I got that bike for my son a couple of month ago, great bike at that price
https://www.decathlon.com/products/kids-bike-20-st900?variant=39409795104830

but suffers from the same issues as most of the kids bike:
-rotoshift, but he doesnt have the strength to rotate it (5yo), especially when loading the pedals
-gearing is for kids to mess around in driveway and paved roads, not on the trail

I had him testing mine and my wife bike thumb shifters, and that seems to work for him, so I'll upgrade to shimano TX 30 I think, it seems many people do that. For the chainring, it is currently a 34T I am thinking of changing to 32 or 30 so he can actually use more than the top two sprockets when riding on a trail. I am kind of tempted to move to 30T with shorter crank to gain some ground clearance too (135-140 instead of 145mm).

Anyone's done that and has some feedback?

Thanks for your reply. Was that home made paint job or pro? I have been looking for tinted clear coat in spray can without much luck.
