I seem to have read that the maximum rear sprocket for this group is 32 teeth, but some sellers on Ali are packaging it with an 11-34 cassette. Does anyone have any more information or practical experience with this?

I seem to recall from one of the first videos about RX hydro that it was officially max 32T but that they had people on 36T no problem. It's probably the exact same cage for eRX.
It has to be true, 32T is just really bad in 2023. i'm confident it would take 36, but how much more can it take?

143mm wide, correct me if I'm wrong but the past ali models have all been 150 in the past too

Tires it'd be frame dependent.

Of course it is but front mech also plays a role in tire clearance. Most road groupsets can't take more than ~42mm

Has anyone tested clearance for gravel in both tires and cassettes?

Does it take a 11-40? 11-42?  45mm tire?

I have bulk/100 pack of BH59 olives and bulk hoses which I used on builds with R7020, 8020 and even Deore M6100/6120 calipers - all fine with no leaks.
Can you share the model you used? Might as well use something tried and tested

Has anyone tried one of the many brake hoses on ali? It's for a shimano R7100 caliper and the official shimano hoses are 20€ minimum. I see many BH59 hoses (with olive and pin :) ) for 5€ and sometimes under

Can they go wrong or is this a good idea?

I'm partial to the old stem method.
As long as you don't buy the ZTTO pipe cutter for carbon like I did

Where do you live?! They’re still going for over $200 used here in the US.
I meant the aliexpress ones. There are 3 for sale for 60 right now, all barely test ridden. And I've seen one for 40 but still went for another

TRP's Hywire brifters meant for Pinion were shown at Eurobike and look the absolute business. Surely they'd make a proper road/gravel groupset too?

Now that's a welcome development. I thought that Microshift as a company was simply coasting on previous successes like the Advent X which was really just a hodgepodge reworking of their older products. Hopefully those Sword brifters get repurposed for road 2x11/12 in the future.

I can't tell what they are at all. Hydraulic and electronic paddles?

Fresh release and from the pictures it looks excellent to me. The levers look very comfortable (rubber aside) and they truly understand gear ratios. 11-38 / 11-48 with 48-31 / 46-29 chainrings. Aesthetically this is my favorite groupset yet I think.
Can't wait for reviews especially for the chainrings, if they're light enough I would consider swapping my GRX 800 crankset. Wish they would do higher end stuff if they can make groupsets that good on paper

You can have a look on the used market for these. There are many in my country going for 30-40, cheaper than the aliexpress cheapest simply because people didn't like them.
Shame they only offer 150mm ish versions

Didn't Ltwoo already have auto-trimming but had to disable it in an update because of patents?

Synchro shifting is the RD shifting 1-2 gears when you shift the FD to compensate right? Don't all 3 big manufacturers do it already?

One of the first builds I've seen with it

Get a lanshan :)
The tent poles on ali were also more expensive and heavier than the ones from six moons designs, a supposedly premium ish brand

They can be yes, because they don't come in the box and are (contract breaching?) OEM stocks bought in bulk
