Adam was quick to respond to a first email. He's gone radio silent now that I'm ready to part with my cash though ?!?
Tried Wing.. bounceback failure :(
Sometimes, their email get in the spam.
If you run your own email server today, Google and Microsoft makes your life miserable

I've decided I want to pick up an FM936. Seems like I can contact Wing via Alibaba and make it happen that way. Are there other ways to get ahold of this bike in the US? Other manufacturers that people are having good experiences with?

You should contact wing by email at wing (at) carbonda com this is the easiest way
To choose options like color, bb, shipping option, etc.

If everything is in good state, the position on the bike is probably the most important factor. And may be significantly different between two bikes.

When coasting downhill, I'm generally faster than many bigger guys even the ones with aero bikes.

Brakes - Shimano XT M8000 160 front 180 rear
Bottom Bracket - BSA 68-73mm
Gearbox - Sram NX 11 speed
Crankset - 36 single chainring, 104BCD, 175mm crank
Can be good.

Fork - RockShox TK Silver 29 100mm SOLO AIR non-tapered
Wheel axle - Quick release
All frames have tapered head tubes in general.
You may look for some adapters.

For the QR wheels, good luck !
You may ask all the sellers you can find here, if they have old unsold frames around.
Or try to know if you can replace the end caps of the hubs to convert them to thru axles.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Spider mounted power meter advice

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at upgrading my SRAM Red 22 carbon crankset with a spider based PM. It's the old three bolt pattern interface. As far as I can see, all three - Sigeyi, XCadey and Magene - are offering a PM for this crankset. Also, they're virtually identical electronically, right? So am I right in thinking I can just pick either one depending on price and customer service? Or is one more reliable than the other?

Where did you read they were kind of identical?
Sigeyi has a better reputation, but their price skyrocketed.
Almost in par with good deals you can get sometimes on Quarq or if you go with a Rotor crankset.

I did order Ramblers for gravel last year, they were at $36

They must have ~2000km now, went through harsh rocks in Croatia, and are still fine.

New version of the Elita One carbon seatpost available: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832782375801.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.22.21ef1802I9GlYy&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US...

Wow... Since August  :o
And by a picture there, apparently the old model is not for 7x9mm oval rails, while all my bikes have them.

...I like that they covered the bottom bracket face for paint. I won't need to get it faced at my LBS...
Yes if you put a 24mm axle BSA BB, no problem.
In the case of a DUB BSA, the BB diameter is a bit bigger and facing might be necessary.

Thanks for that. I seem to have a gap between top of frame and headset, there is also a wobble which i can't seem to iron out. Many thanks

Both bearings need to be pressed in the headtube cups.
Look calmly and carefully what prevents this at each element.
For instance:

Does the fork makes contact with the bottom of the headtube?
Preventing the bottom bearings to be pressed in.
Maybe you need to put a crown, or the bearings has not the correct height.

Is the dust seal making contact with the frame?
Preventing the top bearings to be pressed.
Add some washers under the dust seal.

Does the top cap makes contact with the steerer tube(cut too long) or the star nut or compression nut?
Preventing the stem/spacers to press on the dust seal.
Add a 5mm or more spacer on top of the stem to test.

@Pedaldancer, it was a joke, no worries  ;D

Just to report, that the ZTTO chain noise was coming from a bad rear derailleur setup  ::)
The final weight is 8.3Kg. I received the seatpost yesterday, Aliexpress has a very fast delivery to Belgium since a few months.

... Do you already have experience with Onirii?
No, just having read about them.
Thanks! You started to make me feel guilty about my sister :D
They sell FM calipers, 2-piston, so I was wondering if you did make a mullet assembly.

Sorry I have been away. Thanks for your advice much appreciated.
Do you know the order of the drop in headset from Carbonda?
Especially the two thin steel rings. Thanks

They come between the dust seal(the cover just before the stem or spacers)
And the compression ring(the ring that sits on the top bearings)

Only needed if the dust seal is in contact with the frame when you tighten the headset.

The second black one(size L, the pink is in M) is more on a budget build.
Shimano M6100 components.
DT-Swiss 1900 wheels.
Onirii M4 brakes(I had to bleed the rear, just putting the funnel, and getting some bubble out of the lever).
A Judy fork.
A Elita one seatpost and a UNO stem too.
