After The Ride / Re: Issue with attached images
« on: May 12, 2023, 10:11:38 PM »
When uploading photos there’s the option for small, medium, large, or actual size.
I choose large every time and it avoids doing that. I think uploading actual size causes the issue.
So basically it depends on how they uploaded the image. Not much you as the viewer can do about it.

After The Ride / Action cameras
« on: May 12, 2023, 03:47:02 PM »
Thinking of recording rides.  Are any of the Chinese action cameras worth looking at? Something like a SJcam or should I save up for save up for a DJI/GoPro/Insta360?

1-2 days is good by chinese standards. Timezone difference, language barrier, production timelines...all will delay communication.

First ride report.

Took it out for a quick spin this morning. Mix of paved road, rough tarmac, washboard farm roads, and a rocky little descent.
I’ve only been riding my 30 something pound trail bike do this thing feels super light! I also miss suspension.

Bike does handle well and I see the benefits of the flared bars.

Only issue is some flex in the rear. I can hear the brakes  rubbing slightly when climbing out of the saddle. Mostly flat where I live so not a huge annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Sick cranks but the welds in those pictures look disgusting  :-\

Oh man. I hadn't taken a close look at them. That is horrid indeed. Absolutely not confidence inspiring. Supposedly ti is pretty hard to work with. Don't think these are worth the risk of failure.

People have bought them according to ali reviews, but I have not seen or read any reviews elsewhere online.

Bike is finally built up and will take it for its first ride this weekend. Lots spacers til I get the fit dialed in. I’ll replace the pedals with some SPD pedals. The saddle came with an obnoxiously long bolt that extended up frighteningly close to the cutout so I had it trimmed down a bit.
As you can see the clearance between derailleur and frame is a bit tight in certain gearing, but should be ok.

Can't speak from personal experience, but you'll often find entry level full sus bikes specced with X-fusion shocks or forks. If its legit oem, it should be pretty good.

Yikes. Just got my replacement GR9 shifter today and hoping for a less stressful experience.

digging up this thread because I'm looking for the same thing.
Anyone know something. >20° flare is just too extreme for me

It’s an odd design, but when I was searching this was the only carbon option with less than 20 degrees of flare.

First LTWOO ERX groupsets showing up on Aliexpress:
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EyfCQqf

At least from my location.
705 EUR for brifters, derailleurs and calipers is not competitive IMO.
At least in Germany, 105 Di2 can be had heavily discounted. Probably because of the overall crisis in the bike industry ATM.
For 500 more you get Di2 including cranks, cassette, chain and rotors.
If I need to add all that in similar quality to LTWOO ERX it’s still going to be cheaper, but the difference will probably be max 300 EUR.
I’d probably give it a pass.

I imagine the price will drop over time. Just like it did with the hydro groups.
When Sensah release their hydro/electronic groups I think we’ll see prices drop dramatically.

I'm just pumped for the L-Twoo ERX groupset. wonder when its going to be released. So tired of my Sram Force.

I've seen it on Aliexpress recently, but I can't find it now. Either all sold out for now, or got pulled for some reason.

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Thoughts on Panda Podium?
« on: April 25, 2023, 02:59:08 PM »
If you follow chinese components you're probably aware of Joe's channel on youtube (China Cycling) and his upcoming venture Panda Podium. https://www.pandapodium.cc/coming-soon/

What are your thoughts on it? Is he just going to be a middle man? Could he be the customer service solution we've all been wanting? Will this forum disappear into obscurity once he launches???!!!!  ;D
