So did you buy a 54???

Yes, 54, I've put 1100km on it. It's faaaast. I did 165km on it yesterday. Really unsure what more I should ask of a bike. I got the bar and stem combo and the stem is 100. It fits.
I am considering getting a small frame next. I have a short torso.

The retail price for the er9 is under 500 USD without shipping. They will start selling them in the coming weeks I'm told. Should mean 600 shipped to most jurisdictions at most. I plan to buy several in the coming weeks.

Absolutely every chinese frame has a geometry chart available, you can just look at stack and reach.
Don't get a gravel bike if you want a road bike, it rides different from a road bike.
If you want an endurance road bike, get that.

geometrygeeks.bike/ has a lot profiles you can check.
https://bikeinsights.com is also super helpful, you can visually compare bikes and the brands section shows you lots of chinese brands you probably havent considered.
If you want to go full nerd, https://www.bikecad.ca is a great resource to understand bike geometry.

Depending on how much you want to spend, a real advantage of titanium frames have over carbon is that is that you can get them bespoke. If you have back problems, maybe get a bike fit and a bespoke ti frame, and never look back. Life's too short to ride bikes that aren't comfortable, we're not pros.

As if BB standards weren't complex enough, now they're doing asymmetric BBs.
It's amazing.

I haven't come across any positive angle cockpit.
I've been riding a VB 168 and a VB GF002 back to back for weeks, if you want a road bike, don't get a gravel bike. It behaves very differently downhill. I don't want to sound like a GCN presenter, but the BB is higher, the geometry is different in several ways (that I barely understand), but it just doesn't feel nice do go downhill fast with my gravel bike on asphalt. Probably mostly because of the higher center of gravity?
An endurance road bike as far as i can tell is essentially just a road bike with a tall head tube so you don't look foolish with a mountain of headset spacers.
So i'd say either an endurance geometry + cockpit, or whatever road frame that fits you + bar & stem combo.

I initially ordered the alloy versions, but was forced to upgrade to carbon because of stock issues. It didn't even cross my mind that there could be any difference other than weight from the paddles and derailleur cage.
I think if they had different internals, they would communicate about it.
I suspect you got different iterations of the shifters, Trace Velo himself got them to change their design, these chinese groupsets makers are quite notorious for using customers as beta testers and iterating versions on the back of the feedback. At least they iterate fast.

Nice! Carbonda refuses to send me one at the primer stage. I have to pick one or the other.

Well, given I ended up re-priming over their primer, I would have been curious to order raw carbon, I would have liked to see the layup.
I like raw carbon frames that have clear coat over, but i'm afraid of UV messing with the carbon over time. I feel that primer + paint is a good UV blocker. Given that clear coat is transparent, idk how well it blocks UV. If it's done by a real brand, it's one thing. But if it's me doing it, or an OEM seller, idk.

buye protection does not work. I bouhgt 2 ultegra chain, and found out that they are fake.
Aliexpress did not  give my money back , Ali express protect its seller.

It usually works for me, I've had refunds on a lot of things.

How much T1000 do you use compared to T800?
Do you use EPS / latex moulding?
Is it one piece mold or 2 triangles glued together?

Not sure if it is older version or something, but here's one https://www.bike24.com/p2313768.html?menu=1000,1868,1969. Granted, it doesn't include crankset, cassette and chain, but upgrade kits are pretty barebone.

Thanks! Not bad at all indeed!

I've had luck taping black electrical tape over things i didn't like. It's surprisingly stealthy. Slightly ghetto too :)

FWIW, i ghetto painted a velobuild frame that i got at "primer" stage. It was primer with high spots sanded. I ended up re-priming so that the primer would be a solid coat, because i was getting bleed through otherwise. Paint is finicky. Cost me less than 30 eur for primer, 2 colours (the black is metallic, it's quite nice) and a cheap top coat (couldn't find 2K locally).
Given the effort involved, i'm happy with the result. Barely any sanding needed, because i got the frame at primer stage.

Before, after, and the bike i wanted to emulate.

Did you add the VAT and inport tax to the price of Ltwoo?

Rival 1 AXS kit can be found under 700€. 2x set up is more expensive at 800-ish, 105 upgrade kit is a grand. Meanwhile, the only electric ltwoo listing I saw on Ali was over 800.

Interesting. Where can you find the 2x @800 ish?

Any recommendations for wheels for gravel size tire widths?

In 31-32mm wide wheels:
Farsports 32.33mm wide rims (wave series). Pretty light, pretty affordable if you ask nicely.
EIE, Light Bicycle, BTLOS have heavier rims that are not cheaper. Light bicycle makes lighter versions of their rims but the weight limit is 90kg which i find a tad scary.
Nextie: still waiting for a quote. EDIT: Nextie is EXPENSIVE. Even after haggling, they're higher than Farsports, yet their rims are either same weight or heavier, they use their own brand of hubs so it's hard to tell what you're getting, and their rims look V shaped more than U shaped, which as far as i know is a big no-no for crosswinds.
Winow quoted me a cheap price but it's really a 28mm wide rim, not 31 (21mm internal when the others are c.25mm)

I'm buying sets now, I plan to go with Farsports (have ordered several times from them over the years, can't really fault them).

For those of us in Europe, what "deals" can you find on branded groupsets at the moment?
The eR9 retails for 3500 CNY, that's 485 $ or EUR 445.
