Component Deals & Selection / Re: SROAD lightweight cassettes
« on: July 28, 2023, 08:23:14 AM »
What drivetrain did you pair it with? These cassettes are known to shift badly with Shimano's newer derailleurs bc these rely heavily on Shimano's own cassette/cog design with very specific ramps. Trace Velo did a video about it.

Using the Sensah Empire 11 speed..... thought that is supposed to be compatible but somehow I cannot get it to play nicely.

I'm in Canada and there doesn't seem to have any "crash in the bike boom" over here   :'(

I've picked up an 11s 11-28 cassette and had issues with it. Couldn't get it to shift cleanly and it was very noisy. Also the lightweight lockring being aluminum seem to strip like cheese when I try to torque it correctly. Went back to my 105 cassette and no issues with the shifting or lockring.

Component Deals & Selection / XDR Road Cassette
« on: July 22, 2023, 03:04:31 PM »
Wondering if anyone has any recommendation or avoid XDR road cassettes? Looking for 10-33 combo and noticed Ztto is selling one now https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004457759283.html also Goldix is selling one.

Anyone have experience with any Aliexpress XDR road cassette and how's the shift performance and durability?

doesn't look like there are  many options for 2 piece chainring in the 46/30 or 46/33 range... The Bikingreen rings can almost buy another crank

Also,  It seems the 3 bolt SRAM chainrings will fit onto this crankset, so I've been searching for chainring mounted powermeters for it.  Just haven't come across any powermeter spiders that will accept a 46/30 setup, in case anyone has a source or knows the special search terms to find them.

Just wondering if you had any luck find a PM that will work with the 46-30 setup? I was looking at getting the PR2 with 46-30 but was also wondering if there are any power meter for it....

Do people recommend getting their integrated bar and stem or get the two piece or none of the above ?

Any more updates on the Rinasclta or Airwolf version? I am thinking of looking for a "All road" bike and was thinking of the Airwolf version. Sounds like it is a good bike so far besides if someone recommends something else?

Green Bike Store is a reseller of SuperTeam wheels (which you can buy on Amazon, Aliexpress, or direct on their website). Those ones are the unlabeled version of the Superteam from my understanding.  I own 2 sets from SuperTeam wheels both 50mm deep and 25mm outer width with U shaped profile (not their 23mm V-shaped). One set in tubeless (when they first released it a 5 years back) and one clincher. Both sets has been fine for me and I am a 79kg rider. Their 50mm x 25mm are UCI approved if that matters https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005306410516.html (in fact you can get it custom built for your needs, decal colours, finish, etc. may be extra lead time).

Only down side is the weight, they are heavier than the more modern 50mm deep carbon wheels but they are solid.

The "factory direct" ones I think you might not get to customize and just get the blank rims with standard build up. My custom ones all had to be shipped from China.

I am on the fence of ordering a set coming from Campy originally but want to see what people have to say about usability and shift quality.

Are all the shifting "complaints" due to the Campagnolo style shifting vs. Shimano? Or is the thumb trigger really hard to use?

Looks like they don't sell the Newboler tubes anymore. Found these RideNow for similar prices https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005120740960.html

Did anyone install their TPU tubes like this? Tube before the tire?
