Winspace provides both 7x7 and 7x9 saddle rail clamps when you purchase the frameset new.

Really looking forward to your review/opinions/paintjob.

Also, haven't heard of those wheels. Wondering whether they are worth € 500,00 over Elite Edge wheels in 50mm (just a small weight penalty, but a lot of extra money).
Same goes for the sadles, which seems heavier than the Ryet one. Any reason to go this route other than "because I can" (which is a good answer as well :) )

My previous two VeloBuild road builds I used both Elite Drive 45D (no longer in production) and FarSports EVO 4. While the Drive 45D are light, I didn't find them particularly stiff. The EVO 4s are stiff but still use 19mm internal rims which I have long moved away from. Nepest as a brand do a lot of things right. The fit/finish of the wheels and road dynamics feel very much OEM as expected. To me they feel closer to FarSports than Elite Drive.

Now regarding saddles, I don't like the shape nor length of the Ryet saddle. I've had great success both indoors and outdoors with my Bucklos saddles, and it's only 30g heavier than my S-Works Power saddle.

I'm not really going for a full weight weenie build with the 268. But I do suspect this build to give both my Tavelo and Giant Propel a run for their money in the weight department. We should be looking at 7.0-7.1kg without pedals/power meter/computer mount.

I have a 268 frameset coming my way next week, once paint is completed. The color is sick!
Looking forward to seeing what VB has been up to lately.

SRAM Force eTap 1x
Nepest Maui 45 Wheels (1282g)
Prime Bike Carbon Aero Bars
Bucklos 3D Printed Saddle

That’s the plan at least…

Am I late, or did LC finally and officially offer up the LCR017-D on their website now?

https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightcarbon-super-light-disc-brake-road-carbon-frameset-with-integrated-handlebar_p240.html

This frame is still in my radar but I'd have to donor everything off my Yishun R086-D frameset. While I don't absolutely love the look of the R086-D, I can't imagine the riding dynamics are significantly different from the LCR017-D. Then again, super light version and custom paint are enticing. And obviously I already have compatible handlebars, stem, and headset bearings.

EDIT: Also comes with threaded T47 versus BB86 pressfit. Such a well proportioned looking frame.

32c GP5000 on 23mm internal wheels fit. But only on dry roads I would say.

Wow what paint color is that? Absolutely gorgeous!

@patliean1m since your review I have noticed pandapodium lists Tavelo Attack as out of stock

Tavelo Attack is available for purchase from Panda Podium if you email them. My guess is the "out of stock" status is to keep the other brands using this same frame happy.

I am currently battling a warranty issue with Giant, regarding my (only 4 month old) Propel Advanced Pro. It's a story for another day. I'm giving them a chance to do right before I make a video on it, but the experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth for having spent $4000 all in. Warranty and dealer support is supposed to be what comes with the high price tag right lol?

Had I purchased my Tavelo Attack frameset (Nich Legend4/Adapt AT-B01) before my Propel and knew the performance would be very similar out on the road...I could have saved myself not buying a Propel.

While the Elilee Blize isn't the most ground breaking looking frame, I appreciate Elilee's approach. Perceived quality seems to be there. Gonna probably sell my Propel once warrantied, and use the money to build an Elilee. Or an SL8 comp  ;D
To me the sweet spot for competitive Chinese bikes is the $1500-$2000 range.

Rebuilt my VB-177 frameset, as it's off to a new home. My buddy opted for 105 Di2 12-Speed and a set of 1st-gen Hyper 65s. Shifting with 105 feels identical to Ultegra Di2 12sp and the wheels make for a speedy ride dynamically. FSA no69 headset system is the way to go.

After building this bike up and riding it, I'm now quite curious to check out the VB-268. I hoping the 268 takes all the good from the 177 and pairs it with the aesthetics and geometry of the 168. Yes I said I was finished with reviewing $500 frames but...

Despite both SEKA and their distributers' efforts to improve customer experience, I still think there are more reliable options for the money. They seem to be doing well domestically but the overall hype has died down a lot.

Aesthetically the Winspace T1550 gets my vote. I'm also really considering the Elilee Blize (standard version, not XXE) because Elilee seems to have finally figured out all their issues from early adopters. It may not have the aero details but customers have reported the ride experience being similar to the SL7.

Anything above $2000 and you might as well go with a major brand.

Here is my T1500 w/ D67 Hyper Wheels. Over 2 years of use and still probably my favorite bike. Mechanical shifting Ultegra R8020 has been absolutely flawless. Elilee OSPW system...now out of production  >:(
