I would be curious to know how many components of Elite's Drive wheels are shared with Winspace.

Hi all,
I would like to share my experience with Velobuild with you. I ordered two frames a VB-R-168 and a VB-R-066. Both show quality problem, the VB-R-168 actually is a disaster. Here are the reasons:

  • Scratches all over
  • Cable outlets are a mess
  • On bar second hole missing to match spacers
  • Holes for Garmin mount way off, it not perpendicular
  • color of frame and fork are different
  • Front derailleur hanger does not match frame

There seems to be no quality control at all. To me, buing from Velobuild is a jeopardy. Be warned and consider shopping there very carefully!

What has Chris/VeloBuild offered to resolved all those issues, when you contacted him?

Check out the latest Colnago V4Rs spyshots and tell me it doesn’t look like a SL7 inspired open mould frame

And I don’t see anything wrong with buying an open mould frame as long as one doesn’t slap the logo of the real thing along the downtube. In the watch world they call timepieces inspired by famous models ‘Microbrand homages’ and there’s no reason why we can’t extend the same euphemism to bikes.

As the owner of a few Rolex Submariner homages...I agree with this assessment haha.

Any movement on these frames? And do they actually direct/business to consumer?

I really like the look of that frame. The geometry however is anything but race-focused like the Venge LoL

Hi all,

I need some help since I want to get prepared for when my frame arrives - size 54:

What is the frame thickness at the rear break caliper, or what ist the correct length of the Brake caliper mounting bolt C? See bottom rigth of page 40

You do not need the metal crown race, as it's already built into the fork during the mold process. There might be some contention as to whether or not to use it, but it's obvious from the photo it doesn't fit.

For what it's worth...my Winspace T1500, Dengfu R12, and VB 177 all did not need the crown race. I even double checked with my local bike shop just to be certain before making any steer tube cuts.

However, my Yeoleo G21 did need the extra crown race and I was able to close the gap to the headtube.

Wait...they offer an integrated handlebar with either 400mm/120mm or 400mm/130mm ?

Sign me the heck up

LoL when my Winspace T1500 and Hyper wheels were featured on GCN Tech...I am certain they purposely mispronounced and mislabeled my bike. Which is sad because Alex literally did that silly stairs and curb test with the very same frame and wheels two months prior.

But hey I get it. Don't wanna get fired for making your corporate sponsors unhappy  :-X

Prime aero bars from Wiggle or Chain Reaction

I own both the alloy and carbon versions. Cant go wrong with either!

Wonderful bike. That saddle to bar drop is something else.. 8)

It's not as aggressive as it seems, when you have long arms haha!

Here's the final form (for now) of my VB-177. This goes without saying, but wheels make a tremendous difference on overall performance. And the bike feels really snappy now that the headset play has been fixed.
