Another update after a 50km MTB ride and a 130km road ride with 1500HM...

I changed the pads in the front to metal and this also has made a very big difference. Still very happy with the BR-05 brakes :)

Yes, I would also think the chain is included... So they only want to send the cassette for the listed price?

694
That's expensive... Why would you pay that much for China stuff when you can get Sram for the same price?

I ordered a ton of stuff the last few days. I decided to build a XC hardtail and ordered nearly all the parts off Ali except for the derailleur, cassette and chain (is gonna be Sram GX), the brakes (propably Deore) and the fork.

I ordered a OG Evkin CF-052 frame. It seems to be the last one in 17" they had. They told me they stopped production.

After taking a chance on a bolany boost 100mm fork for an xc build (no jumps or drops) as it's weight is quite impressive (1800g or so), for just under 130euro. Most likely pure shit but it's worth a shot on a bike that will only be used for longer less demanding rides.
First thing I'll do though is dismantle it and grease the inners (I'd assume no point putting oil in the lowers as it won't hold

Any feedback?

They have good reviews, so I hope they are OK :) I have built a wheelset with comparable rims but 28x28mm size and they are holding up great (1 year in use now).

There has been already a delay with the shipping of the rims. They say they do not have the 24h in stock and have to make them first. 2 week delay... Communication is OK.

I just ordered 2 of these rims: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001357708166.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.690b1802etqdQB

Ordered them both separately so I got the 15 USD discount twice. 103USD/EUR per rim...

Seems like the only brand more or less with consist positive reviews is the Sigeyi.

Indeed, that is what I also found when searching for a cheap power meter.

cycling100.com has them the cheapest I could find, but the store gets bad reviews, so I did nog order them yet...

Did my first offroad MTB-tour yesterday. 40km offroad and afterwards 30km road to get home. Still no complaints about the new brakes...

There will be sales on Aliexpress starting tomorrow. Elitewheels normally has some promo's, but don't expect too much :)

You should be able to find sensah parts cheaper from tomorrow. There is also 5 USD off for every 30 USD spent (max 15 usd) so that will give some extra savings.

So, I did my first ride with the new Onirii BR-05 brakes. 100km on asphalt... The front one is still with the standard housing and pads. For the rear one I used the compressionless housing and metal pads. They are a HUGE improvement over the old BR-02 brakes. In the past I was never able to lock up the rear wheel not even on gravel. With the new brakes, I have to modulate braking to NOT lock up the rear wheel.

The front brake is not as strong, so I guess this will be because of the pads and/or housing. But they still work nicely.

So yesterday the BR-05 brakes arrived and they look like indeed a step up from the old ones. The "lever" is longer, so i guess there is more force on the cilinder. Another great thing is the construction and setup is different which make for a better fitting of the calliper in my small size 52 rear triangle. I was fearing the slightly bigger new calliper would not fit, since the ZTTo once only barely fit, but the lever of the new calliper falls on the inside of the frame so the small angle of the rear triangle is no longer a problem.

I only tried the brakes on my driveway and the front one already seems a lot better than the ZTTO one...

I managed to f*ck up the rear brake by contaminating it with oil so I can't comment on that one. I was trying to get some (...a lot) of oil in the cable housing of the rear brake because the movement between cable and housing seemed rough and I guess it must have gotten on the calliper and pads... Turns out my rear brake cable was also worn where it enters the frame in the front, so I immediately ordered a compression-less Jagwire brake-cable set (the old was not compression-less) I am going to install in the next days. I will keep you updated...

My Sunshine 11-34 cassette did the same, but it wasn't 3 rivets that got loose but 3 hex bolts that I noticed were all loose after ~1000km. I torqued them pretty tight and now it's much better. If it's rivets going loose I'm not sure there's anything you can do about it sadly :(

No, nothing you can do. One got so loose, I could just take it out... I stopped using the cassette, but a lifetime of only 2000-3000 km is not what I was expecting. It's not only the cost of the cassette, but also the 3 chains I have in rotation... So in the end you get 1x45€ + 3x 20 € = 105 € wasted  >:(

The new cassette is still quiet. I guess it is because I put a lot of oil on it where parts can possibly rub...
But since I wax my chain with paraffin I would rather not use oil on my drive train...

pictures of these particular cassettes?

Do you mean pictures of my cassettes specifically or this type of cassette ?
