Help! I'm addicted to chain waxing. I keep reusing the shimano quick link (until I switch to YBN that is) but I know I shouldn't do it too much. Are there good reusable quick links on ali? Like the KMC R link. I see some from SUMC, riderace but those are brands I don't associate with very high quality. A few KMC ones on ali but I don't know if I trust them to be genuine. Any trustworthy ones you guys have tested?

I have a canyon endurace cf7 with 105.. Reckon the battery will fit in the seatpost? Also - can I do away with the calipers and retain the 105 brake setup?
Yes and yes. But buying the shifters and derailleurs without the caliper makes little sense/might be more expensive than buying the whole thing. Also if you have R7000 the brake calipers are pure trash in my experience. R7100 was a giant upgrade

This guy says the firmware is a lot better now

I agree it is a shame how many youtubers review products after one week, point out software issues and then never update us later once said issues have been addressed. And don't count on chinese manufacturers to give us a detailed changelog either

If you are making a grail copy I also want that frame bag please

@Leon
I often think about the quote I was given 2 years ago for 2 wheelsets but I was quoted 160usd shipping for 2 cartons, is there a way you could combine shipping in the same box? I'm willing to wait longer if it means lower shipping cost

Additionally, when is typically the biggest sale of the year for yuanan? Is there a discount on all products or only a select few

No. Buy local

My second bike, department store used chaoyangs and they didn't catastrophically fail, a couple punctures but understandable ones. But at $19 that would never be something I would gamble on until bicyclerollingresistance tests them since the EXCELLENT conti US3s can be had for 15 locally and were tested to punch well above their pricetag. They are also getting a little outdated in width, 28 is the widest their roads tire get while many are pushing 30+ these days, and their only gravel tire that comes wider than 38mm (lol) has questionable treads. They also seem on the heavier side across the board so I would question whether those $19 H486s are meant to rival the higher end tires

I can't tell from the aliexpress pictures, are the derailleur cages swappable or glued like sensah? I would be curious if an OSPW could potentially increase the clearance a little bit for a gravel bike. Mine has 31-40 lowest and I'm still grinding up some climbs

84
About the supposed 40T clearance, has someone tried and done it firsthand or is it just a rumor now?

Sorry to beat the dead horse, I don't have a problem with rear suspension on a gravel frame, why not... but 48mm tire clearance? Why would you do that? Making a gravel frame that leans closer to technical terrain is great but come on, I would expect AT LEAST 55mm

86
Not strictly aliexpress but I would love to know what fluids you guys use on a budget, if there are any replacement or hacks. What mineral brake oil do you use? Assembly grease, to clean brakes etc. Are there hardware stock hacks that are a lot cheaper than buying the bike specific maintenance products?

87
What a guy. I'm so grateful for him. Comparing brake pads is a jungle I could never figure out or navigate and he just publishes tests when I need them the most

I use these warmer from Ykywbike - good fit (EU size L -> size XL) - they are ok for me.

For what temperature, and how cold do you run? 10-20°C is both too broad and too hot to be meaningful to me. 10c is when i START to get uncomfortable with a short sleeve jersey, 25€ is pretty nuts when there are whole thermal jerseys at that price. Unless "10-20c" means it adds 10 to 20c which is a bold claim too. They don't show the material, thickness or inside either.
Sidenote, first ride today with x-tiger shoe covers and I'm sold. $3 and I definitely could feel the warmth. Easy to put on aswell, great purchase

I researched this extensively 2-3 years ago and couldn't really find anything.

The speedmax has screws, as do some tri bikes like the P3 so your best bet is just a small tool roll with straps to secure it like the dakine hot laps gripper, or using any bottle cage extender but it never looks pretty. Something neat like the specialized SWAT has to be made custom for a frame that has mounts for it. It's a shame gravel frames don't come with more mounts and their proprietary bags to seamlessly attach to, I'd pay extra for that

I can't find it anymore but I swear I have seen a 12 speed 11-36 before on ali. I think it was from ZTTO but I'm not sure. Maybe already sold out?
