L-TWOO posted a video of a hybrid electronic system on their youtube channel.

If you look at the first 20s, this electronic shifting is not like what you expect… electric mechanical shifter which will use a traditional mechanical cable derailleur with an external servo controller which was demonstrated by XShifter in 2017 https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/xshifter-precise-wireless-shifting-for-any-bike#/

This will keep the cost down

I am ok with the internal routing which allows for less bar tape. Was looking at OG-EVKIN but also heard mixed reviews

I do have the Prime alloy bar, was wondering if it was worth consider the carbon Ali special for lighter weight but I guess based on the feedback probably safer to go heavy..

Component Deals & Selection / EC90 Carbon aero Drop Bar

I am debating about getting some carbon drop bars but concern about flex which I have seen in a lot of Youtube reviews of other carbon bars. Especially a 80kg and somewhat powerful rider. Then I have ran into the deal on EC90 aero drop bars https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004018254016.html

Seems a little too good to be true... just wondering what are people's experience with these bars?

Hi all -
I had a rather unfortunate incident on my 068 a few days back, essentially my rear wheel came off from under me, as in I was riding along got out of the saddle and the rear wheel rolled out across the road and my shoulder cushioned the fall.
I had my bike serviced a few days beforehand, I'm guessing the junior mechanic didn't properly secure the wheel somehow.

Fortunately my shoulder took most of the damage however the rear dropouts i'm most concerned about now, I've attached some photos:

Is the dropouts meant to look like that, as in that shallow? The derailleur hangar seems to match up with the depth of the dropout.
If someone could confirm that it looks the same as theirs it would clear up my concerns that it is a user error not due to poor design.

Thanks!

First I hope you are ok. That sounds dangerous.

In terms of dropouts, that looks correct, looks like only surface scratches.

Btw you mentioned you got a longer expander plug, how long did you get? I think my friend is having the same issue with the play.

Did you put the shim under the dust camp above the top bearing?
I'm having an issue with play in the headset no matter how much I tighten
I had to put 3 micro shims under the dust cap. It did not come with any. The shims was to solved a binding issue when it is compressed. Not play issue

What is wrong with the older brakes?

I am trying to figure out the reach for Zrace BR-001 and the R700. Trying to figure out if they are short reach or medium reach? I got a feeling it is medium each for the BR-001?

I bought a set of Kootu Spd-sl compatible and put it up for sale after one try on the trainer. It had amazing review on Amazon but the bearing grease was too thick to free spin. Secondly with the spring tension to the tightest setting, the clip and unclip force was way less than my Ultegra on its lowest setting.

Although I think if you went with LTWoo R9 (2x11) derailleur it will give you the most compatibility which should work with Shimano or microshift (Shimano version) bar end shifter.

102
actually if you are thinking of running 1X...... this might work with Sensah https://www.microshift.com/models/bs-sr-m11-r/

If you are running 2x, I think Shimano pull ratio might work with the front derailleur?

103
What shifters would you use? I would prefer Sensah too but that is SRAM ratio so microshift bar end shifters probably won’t work.

Opps the drop outs are carbon but the hanger is aluminum.

My take on it, pre-sale Chris was ok and I guess it was to get the business. After sales like what dpitel has said not so great.

  • As mentioned the seat clamp claims to be carbon rail compatible but I don't see how that is possible.
  • Paint wasn't as terrible on my experience. There were some over spray especially for the brake caliper mount so you need to ream it out a little.
  • Bottom bracket was tight on the non-drive side but I don't think it was due to Velobuild but my BB since I have tried a different one that went in smooth.
  • Seat post did not slip, I have used the Park tool assembly grease and the seat post has factory grit paint on it which seems to be working for me.
  • Headset was missing the micro shims that goes above the upper bearing which I need to buy (3 in total). Chris claims the new headset does not need it but without it, massive binding in my case

Can't comment about the chain stay flex which seems a little surprising on how thick they are (I am running something different.... 25C wheels with 23C tires to get a flush profile). Almost sounds like wheel is flexing in dpitel case but I cannot confirm if that is the case.

they are aluminum drop outs
