I really love that shade of blue. Great job! Do you recall what color code it was?

I'm actually in the process of prepping my x38 frameset for a proper paint job and rebuild for next season. The uniqueness of the frame (because it's a copy) is unmatched for the price, and is just too good to collect dust.

In my frivolous quest to pump out content (and need of a groupset for my beloved Yishun R086-D) I may have possibly been too quick to cast judgement on the x38. That's what I get for building it toward the end of the season. This exact scenario also played out with my VB-177 end of last year.

What's a 20 degree setback post?

I'm an idiot.

In regards to the zero degree setback seatpost, how much range of fore/aft does this reduce compared to 15 or 20 degree?

Meaning...if my saddle rail position is dead center on a 20 degree setback post, will I have to slam the saddle back beyond spec to get the same position?

I ride a Speeder RC-48D and it's just as stiff as my Allez Sprint 2019 Disc IE almost zero compliance.

I want one now.

With all the issues the eRX groupset is having, if you’re in the market for a cheap electronic group, The Pro’s Closet is selling Shimano Di2 at ridiculous prices. You can use their $40 off coupon for every $200 and build a full 105 Di2 for like $500 right now. Shifters are $100 each, brakes for $28, RD is $100, FD is $55, battery for $66.

Must....resist....the...urge...to...stock up on more spare groupsets for future builds.

3) One of the rivet nuts in handlebar installed at an angle, and head unit mount looks slightly to the right when bolts are tightened. I think i can fix it by erasing part of the mount with sandpaper, so bolt will have more space.

Over the years I've developed a high tolerance for cheap Chinese frame quirks: Rough edges underneath the headset bearing cups, poorly faced caliper mounts, and even questionable paint overspray.

But poorly installed rivet nuts is not one of them. Especially for the handlebar computer mount. I was ready to break my laptop after seeing your photo. That one small infraction just reeks of poor quality and/or QC. I haven't been too thrilled with Hygee which is why I haven't inquired about a frameset yet.

Just wanted to say you are KILLING it with the reviews! Nero show constantly mentions you!

Have you ever had to use the returns at all? 15 day free return, but I imagine you pay for shipping back?

Thank you! - I havent used AliX returns before. Everything I purchase from there is cheap enough that I'm okay risking a full loss if something goes wrong. Same reason I don't insure any of my bikes.  :-X

Best $69 I’ve spent from Ali Express.

Frame reach of 390mm with a stack height of 582mm for a size 56 JH-10 is considerably upright for being advertised as an aero frame.

Can't comment on their 2x stuff but the 1x options are great. High quality and no chain drops (obviously).

The 177 is my favorite road frame from VeloBuild. I really enjoy the riding dynamics for the price and I found it to be much more responsive than my 168. Despite preferring the overall look and geometry of the 168.

For all intent and purpose this new 268 it sounds like it's built very similarly to the 177. If the road feel is the same or better, VeloBuild will have a huge hit on their hands for 2024. Smart move by VeloBuild.

Regarding the weight difference versus the 177...it's about as marginal as the aerodynamic gains from the 268.

And here I thought I was finished reviewing super affordable frames...

Updating an outdated thread. Oh well.

I just received my TanTan x34 frameset. Gloss black finish with the faint visuals of raw carbon underneath. Pics coming soon...

4 years since its release and the Winspace T1500 is still my choice for the price over Elves, Yoeleo, SEKA, and even the new Elilee BLIZE. However, it doesn't mean I'm not curious about eventually testing those frames. The T1500 has aged very well and Winspace spent enough budget to give themselves street credibility here in American Cycling.

T1500 is the only frame I can't see myself selling. Even over my new Giant Propel Advanced Pro.
