Litepro alu bottle cages, a number of sources. 21g alu cage, well under $10. Yes, there are carbon cages that are lighter, but if you're doing a color theme with bolts etc, these are very nice. A little tight on my Fly bottles but suspect they'll break in a bit.

They look pretty sweet! Do you buy them on Alix? If so, do you have a link? I just saw them on their webpage.

Has anybody put a powermeter on this frame?

I am trying to figure out if the Magene 505 would work or something else.

Super. Let us know when it arrives if I may ask.

Will do! However, I got an email from Vivian saying that they did not have the fork in matt black which I have ordered. They could send me a raw carbon fork and I could paint it but I don't want that so I rather wait until after their holidays for me to get the fork and frame in the same color. Still snow here in Sweden anyways. They will send the frame + fork in February instead.

How are your builds guys? Any new observations? That picture od the inside of bb area got me concerned... Did anybody got hold of the TanTan (Seraph) variety? How is the storage compartment cover? This is one of the highlights of the frame, making it na alternative to Trek Domane, Argon 18 Krypton, BMC Roadmachine or even Enve Fray.

I have ordered from Tantan but have not received the frame yet.

I’ve ordered this frame and am building it up with wheels from Peter here.

Any recommendations on cranks and chain rings? Trying to keep the weight down while also keeping the budget  ;D I am running Shimano 105 11-speed shifters, derailleurs, and brakes. I also picked up a lightweight cassette from Ztto.

Edit: I don’t know if it matters but I’m quite light 70kg/155lbs but can do a 1100w sprint.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / New bike fit sanity check
« on: December 13, 2024, 08:22:44 AM »
Hi guys!

I am looking at the 301 from Tantan/LongTeng and got some help for a local bike fitter but I would like to get a sanity check after spending lots of time on Bike Geometry Calculator.
It seems for now that the hoods would move 32mm back (shorter) but also 25mm down.
Is that reasonable to move the hoods position back when moving down? It seems logical to me but I am unsure of the proportions here.

Could anyone give any insights?

Figure out the groupsets first. SRAM = XD, anything else = HG

Thanks! I took your advice and ended up ordering a Shimano 105 11-speed groupset.

Now I’m a bit confused thought since there seem to be HG bodies and HG road bodies?
Is that so? Will the HG body from Peter work for 11-speed Shimano?

I feel I’ve biked long enough to know this stuff but oh well   :-[

I'm very interested in buying a set of wheels from Peter for a new build.
Looking at the 50mm 26iw 33ow rim.

However, I am unsure which free body I should order. The HG or XD.
I have not yet bought a group set for the build. I might go SRAM AXS or maybe just Ltwoo R9 (non electronic).

Could anyone provide some guidance?

Thanks!

I've been researching the same for a bit and the list can be quite long but here is a few

  • LongTeng LT-301
  • Peter's Grevil Clone (XMCarbon)
  • Spcycle SP-G056
  • Spcycel G068 Aero Carbon Gravel
  • Tantan/Seraph GR201 / Tideace FM-GV201 Noah 2024 / LongTeng Gravel Frameset GV201
  • YOELEO G21 DB Gravel Bike Frameset

Mine is slightly cheaper but with Ltwoo groupset and Zrace calipers…

Are you doing LTWOOs gravel group? Or just road? I want 2x and it seems LTWOO only has that for road.

I am in the same situation. I was going to go for Peter’s grevil bike but I realized the frame would not fit me (I have quite long arms so the reach would be too short). The Factor Ostro Gravel would fit though but I have not found a ”Chinese” option for that frame/geometry.
