Thank you for replying to this. I have previously set up shifting cables from Shimano Ultegra/105/GRX, so I have some experience. It seems like the combination of this particular Airwolf frame and integrated handlebars may be adding to the challenge.

Even though electronic shifting is generally recommended for this setup, I’m still not ready to make the switch. It also looks like some of you in this thread, including the original poster (@eddietheengineer), have successfully set up mechanical shifting on this frame. Could anyone advise if full-length housing is needed for the shifting cables?

Hi everyone,

I hope I’m not too late in posting about my issue with the Airwolf frame and integrated stem/handlebar. I received my package through Airwolf's eBay Germany channel in early September. My question is: What’s the secret to getting a mechanical 11-speed Shimano groupset working with the YRF066 frame and handlebar?

The build process was straightforward until I got stuck configuring the mechanical front shifter/derailleur. I can’t seem to get the tension exactly right for proper shifting. It’s either too loose, and the chain won’t shift at all, or too tight, and then any movement at the extreme ends of the handlebar causes the chain to shift from the small chainring to the big one.

Has anyone experienced this or have any advice on how to dial in the tension correctly?
Attached some picture from my work.

Thanks!
