got the 4 piston "hope replica" brake caliper. They use shimano N03A brake pads.

I 'm going to install soon

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with an OSPW for Shimano 105 7100 rear mechs. Cheers

i'm running the Kogel Kolossos and it works very good, the stock bearing is still fresh (but I just purchase the spare one...)

First I drill the hole with drill bit up the largest I can then cut the final part of the valve in order to reduce clogging.

Alternatively I'm using E13 valve https://theloamwolf.com/reviews/components/review-ethirteen-quick-fill-plasma-valve/

Maintenance, Mechanics, & Tools / Re: What bike lock do you use?
« on: March 14, 2025, 10:33:57 AM »
why do you need a bike lock? It's for the "cafe stop" or to secure the bike in the garage?

For cafe stop put biggest front and smaller rear (53*11) and the chain half on the sproket, half down

It's not a lock but helps

Can anybody confirm the standard DT ratchet (OEM parts) fit in the Goldix 370?
It seems that the Goldix 370 used a conical shape ratchet, different from "flat style" DTSwiss ratchet

check this video

I have a very reliable OEM DTSwiss 54t ratchet (full ring, not lighweight version) I want to try to use in the GoldixM370

If it does not spin it means there is too much friction. I assume some spacer is missing or some spacer are too big.
Did you measure the end-to-end measurement? is 142/148 mm exact?

Is the endcap correct?
Are the bearing perfectly seated?
Is there any interference with seals?

Spotted these really cheap centerlock rotors too https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005008336441514.html
They look different from the meroca ones and come in a bunch of colors. Tempted to grab a pair

weight is in line with the cheap Sram inspiration one:https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005006226762498.html?src=google&pdp_npi=4%40dis!EUR!14.31!6.19!!!!!%40!12000036367241788!ppc!!!&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=272-267-0231&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&gclsrc=aw.ds&&albagn=888888&&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=it1005006226762498&ds_e_product_merchant_id=5388525822&ds_e_product_country=IT&ds_e_product_language=it&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=20730495829&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Mq3q_D1iwMVxoODBx0JaSbTEAQYAyABEgIKrfD_BwE
I'm testing on the gravel bike and the first ride was ok. I paint the inner part with a black sharpie and Black makes you look slimmer.

Let me report my experience with aliexpress floating rotor and ceramic pads.
I experienced a couple of intense ride with my gravel bike (70+70km)  (dry condition but steep downhill...) and few easy training (less than 100km...) with the annex rotor + brake pads (ceramic)
Braking was quite nice and constant but after less than 250km
Rotor 160mm brand new 1.8mm to 1.6mm
Brake pads: brand new 4mm, now 2.9mm

The "investment" was less than 20euros....but the duration was really bad
The descent was kinda XC/downhill but I'm 73kg and not "hanging" to the brake, I'm experienced motocross and enduro so I can let the bike flow.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Rally Spindles on AliEx?
« on: March 03, 2025, 02:24:03 AM »
the majority of Aliex pedal spindle report failure in fatigue test compared to "official" titanium spindle.
The material seems to be softer and premature wearing

It's not 100% titanium , it's an alloy with hi % of titanium

Component Deals & Selection / CENTERLOCK ADAPTOR
« on: February 23, 2025, 10:34:57 AM »
My centerlock adaptor left some room between the rotor hole and the adaptor pin, so, the rotor move just a little when braking and pulling the handlebar towards me
Is it normal?
I notice that all the rotor have different hole size (just a matter of tenths of millimeter...)

I suggest to use some carbon paste (fibergrip) in the craddle of the seatpost
