Bought this frame as my new daily driver. Still debating about the groupset. Did anyone have problems setting it up mechanical?

Set it up with Ultegra mechanical fully integrated, it's a pain to install but runs easily :)

Changed the headset for the Ritchey Switch one because of the top cap

I wonder if its actually "unusual" or just a copy of Specialized unique spacing to the Aetheos and SL8. I'm curious-are you running 160 up front and did the frame ship with the appropriate adapter to make that work?

I don't know whether it's the same spacing as Specialized or different from their spacing.

They did ship with the adapter for 160mm, I will ride with 160mm disc in the front

Hey all, we have almost finished the build yesterday.
It's not entirely finished, but I have to wait with the handlebar tape until I get to the bike fit guy to set it up properly for me.
Here is the photo of the almost finished bike. It weighs a little over 8kg in size 58 and has quite heavy wheels and tires. With better wheels and tires that I hope to get soonish(tm), I should be able to save around 500-550g with that alone.

Some notes from building the bike. Brakes, we're not that hard to center. It took some finicking, but my friend managed to do it in about 20 minutes or so. Routing cables and hoses were also not that hard, but be careful so you don't drop the metal plate holding the front derailleur in the seat post tube. It was a pain to finagle it back in place.. Otherwise, everything was relatively straightforward. The headtube was finished nicely, and the bearing sat firmly there with no play. Also, the gap under the spacers is not bad after compressing it (see picture).

Can't attach pictures here. It crashes the page, so it's here on google drive - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AEk9xj3Kvf6tfcz9mtWzV21S3gj--7qY?usp=sharing

I also dropped that metal plate holding the front derailleur plate into the seat tube absolute pain to get that back

Has anyone tried a magene pes 505 on this frame? Does it fit?

Looking at the shape of the drive side of the frame would give me hope, the threaded area is a good piece "higher" than the frame so the P505 should work with that

Have the frame built with Ultegra di2 11s and Onirii pedals, some 45mm deep heavy wheels and S-Works Power, weighs in at 7.2kg.

I'm having an issue with brake caliper mounts on the front, they aren't faced and my LBS says they can't face them because of the unusual length between the both screws.. I think with the Park Tool facing tool this should be fixable, just have to find a bike shop that will do this for me.

I'm excited about the first kilometers on the bike in the next weeks. Can only compare to my SL6 clone from Delihea/Trifox

Anyone else having problems with the battery holder?

It prevents the seat post from going in all the way and it gets stuck when taking out the seat post which says to me that the clamping from the holder to the seat post is absolutely shit.

The doubt came to me because with the Aliexpress "price adjustment" the DPD shipment would cost the same as a standard shipment (without prepaid duties)....from what they wrote (see attachment), I understand that they "adjusted" the shipping cost and the VAT will have to be collected at customs, so in the end the final cost will be higher than the price of the order.

The price adjustment is due to EU forcing Ali etc to pay VAT for products below 150€. Above 150€ VAT is displayed in the offer, but will be deducted later ("price adjustment"). For the products above 150€ customs and VAT would have to be paid by customer.

With sellers shipping method the seller takes care of customs and VAT. Hence the higher price for the shipment

So it seems that a SL8 handlebar won't do on the frame since they come with shaped headset cover. We absolutely need round headset cover with our frames (like the one that comes with kocevlo). Is that correct?

The Ritchey Comp Switch headset cover should work.

So not to whine like a beyoch, but I'm now 65 days from payment. Was told a week ago that my bike would ship. The latest is "The goods have been shipped, but we need to wait a few days for the new tracking number." Is this accurate? Does Tantan ship in such a way that there's no tracking for a few days?

Yeah it was the same for me. No update on tracking until 2 days before arrival.

I can add that the P505 PES did work with a T47 from SPcycle (G069). My Power2Max didn't.

Similar to Ridenow tubes, it starts getting a massive challenge to keep track of all the versions and iterations of light cassettes out there...

If you don't bother three aluminum sprockets, here is your 12s 11-34 option:

Not that easy but at least easy to distinguish. ULT is all stell, all SLR variants are a mix of steel and aluminum

Hey guys, I am planning to buy this frame, any thing I need to know? Seems to be great frame. Super excited.

The steer angle is quite slack for a road bike!

why not Ltwoo ERX or ER9?

I've got the Wheeltop here and the Ultegra Di2 can be found quite easily used online. No other reason than that.

New to the post I would appreciate some help.

Installed the group set but I am having difficulty with the fine tuning. I am able to set the first gear (smaller cog) with minimal friction using the initial set up with arrow adjustment. I am also able to shift through all 12 cogs, but I find starting with the second gear noise in some of the cogs. When I try to use the fine tuning function using the App only it appears that I get no adjustment movement from derailleur. Am I missing something in the procedure of using the fine tuning? for example do I need to use the shifters in combination with the app fine adjustment set up? Or it is just simply the fine tuning function not working.

Would appreciate advise, thanks

If I recall correctly, you have to shift back to the smallest cog to get the fine running to work and did you try it with really big jumps in the number?

I'm still thinking whether I would build my bike with the Wheeltop or with a used Ultegra di2 11s

Have you tried this ?

Don't see the video but yeah I got it out.
Will use another expander expander in the future
