Somewhat better pictures. Got sick multiple time, so rode less than I wanted to, but the times I did ride I'm very happy with it. It's a an upright position, which for my non-existent flexibility and general body ratio is great.

Didn't get around to chopping the steerer tube yet. Put some gravel tires on my aluminium wheels. Did have issues couple times with seat rails slipping, put them tighter now (send an email to get info on all torque specs), which seems solved now. The one downside with this double bolt one is that the front bolt I can't actually access with my closed saddle.

At this point I'm very happy, but probably should've gotten a bit crazier with paint scheme.

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: 9velo GV35 GV45

I've got the GV45 2.0 ones and really like them. IVe only borrowed a set ones with DT hubs and these are nicer. I don't see a reason to 35 though. I live in very flat and windy place, and 45 is fine. The without difference is really minimal, especially considering their usage.

I think the reason 9velo doesn't come up here often is because you can probably get cheaper wheels, with the same quality. I found the price of mine (with a 15% code) good enough to just get them.

How was your experience with TanTan?
Very good. Emails were good and clear, could get proper confirmation of everything. I got good pictures of different paint, and got a picture they made to check if they understood what i wanted. Ofcourse with my sample size of 1 take what I say with a grain of salt. You ofcourse do need to be a bit patient for paint (Although everything was according to mentioned schedule), but once the bike got painted they send me an email (Which they don't need to do, but its nice to get an update). The tracking of shipping in my case was pointless, but it's not up to them. It was "stuck"  in Asia for a week and a half according to tracking, when suddenly I had the courier at the door. Packaging was solid of what I'd expect (All parts individually packaged in lots of foam, and a solid box)

I tried spcycle on aliexpress, but when I asked for paint I got no more response.

Build it up and rode a bit with it, will post proper pictures in future.

Components are
Tantan GR048 with custom paint (Red metallic, with the tops of bars being black, and matte varnish)
9Velo GV45 2.0 (already had them some months)
GRX820 (with GRX400 brakes)
RXL SL gravel bars at 42CM
Kocevlo stem at 90mm
Silca bar tape (Knockoff? of some ali seller, easily nicest bar tape ive used though)
Redshift grips (Knockoff of same ali seller, surprisingly great)

For now its just a road setup, because I don't actually have gravel where I live, the idea of this bike was to swap some wheels when I want to do some small trips to places with gravel. I run corsa pro 32mm tubeless on the 9velo wheels for now, and will probably keep doing that for a good while.

For me the geometry is very nice. Its definitely relaxed but as someoone with a short torso, a lot heavier than I ought to be and a quite bad back it makes it really comfortable. It's actually a stiffer than my Defy (non-SL frame), and handling is more stable. Keep in mind I'm just used to that bike, and a 20yo Trek OCLV carbon bike. This bike is obviously heavy (didnt weigh it yet), but for me that really doesn't matter much. I'm a heavy guy, and live in a flat area. I also have no intention of going fast. Fork will be chopped once I figure out the height (probably one spacer less)

No obvious flaws on the build. One small annoyance is quite large unpainted areas around some of the bolts, but I don't care too much. The varnish is also pretty rough around the BB area, but its hidden away and I have no issue with it.

Received frame. Really happy with the paint. Nothing out of the ordinary on first look. All random bits seem present in the order.

6
looks very good - where did you finally purchase and how much was it?

575 USD exc shipping. That also includes thru axles, BB, stem and the fender mount. Ordered from Seraph. We'll see on the quality once I receive it, don't expect too much esp from the random bits, but easy to change out. Mainly just want to be able to put the basics together to give it a test spin.

Got some pictures of my painted frame. Looks good from the pictures. Its a metallic red + black with matte clearcoat.

@Reiko what is the T47i? I asked for a BB of Tantan that they're sending along with it, can you use a regular T47 (52mm outside) tool for it, or is there some special tool required?

From a quick look at one of those videos I originally thought it was just the same as the tideace GR021 that has a big thread in this forum section.

I've been using Rouvy for a couple years, to me the real videos are a lot more interesting than a game-like world.

I asked a custom paint from Tantan but they messed up so badly it's almost funny I gotta say...

That looks bad... I have one at tantan with custom paint being made, hope it looks better than that. Definitely happy I didn't do any "special" effect, however the matte finish I hope they can at least sort out.

Ordered mine through seraph with some custom red metallic and black, with matte finish. Will post once I got it in time.

Gonna build it up with GR820 that I already purchases (New secondhand of someone that swapped it for DI2).

I'm pretty sure the STA is wrong on that page. It's marked at 71.25, but on the tables it's indicated at 72.5.
With 72.5 the XL of this one is well compared to the G056 in L, just about 12mm higher. A 71.25 STA would be very weird, esp seeing that suddenly increases the reach by quite a lot.

Here they did fill it in correct: https://bikeinsights.com/compare?geometries=632176549533910022b2d1a0,64f75c069b8f1900202c25f8,

I've been comparing a lot of geometries, and seeing this one is super relaxed it's likely a good fit for me. Just checking in with SPCycle and Seraph (G048 they call it) now for prizes of some custom paint (Want a red metallic one). Is there actually any diff in which one builds it though? I imagine these types of frames would just largely be the same between who builds them?

I have this frame and bought it for similar fit reasons.
Any pictures? :D

Could you post some more pictures? Still deciding between this and G056, but I think geometry this would be a bit easier for me (Long legs, short torso, so the very high stack this seems to offer really interests me, because I'd actually like to ride a bike without all the spacers for once)

Also send a quick mail, because this frame looks much nicer to me than LCG071, but also just got the reply that it's bought out. Such a shame. Geometry looked good for me, and the seatstays are very nice.
