The 50’s are pretty stable in side winds, especially with an Aerothan on the front. When do you go?

26mm internal 35mm depth super light climb wheels, 1090g/pair

D35CU-33 T1100 rims 20/20H UD paintless
Carbon Speed in-house hubs titanium color 20/20H 54T rachets TPI ceramic bearings center lock straight pull for 100*12/142*12 HG driver, 3.8mm carbon spokes

Has anyone bought these and if so how do they ride? I don’t think I can trust the 50’s in the Alps with risk of wind on the descents.

I love the look and weight of these. Currently run Sram xplr rival 1x with Sram dub cranks vielo chain rings so really need 8 bolt. Unless i change chain ring as well. I would need something in the 40-44 range.

Then you must have overlooked my built (page 52 and 58). I built it with Wheeltop shifting and Ekar cassette, which makes 1-by 13-speed systes possible without needing UDH and at a much lower pricepoint (which might change when 13-speed force is available).

The SP-R088 is an alternative with UDH. We have both frames "in the family". Both are nice and light.

Apologies-i was scanning for keywords like Sram XPLR and also your pictures didnt show which would have alerted me to a 1x set up. And my old eyes ...

Nice looking bike!

Hi,
I have read back through the thread but cannot immdeiately see that any buyers have set up a 1x groupsent on the frame. Ideally, i would be using the antiipated Force 1x13 XPLR due to be announed shortly. Though that probably means UDH.
cheers
Bob

Hi,
Is anyone running the 24mm Shimano spindle version on a 1x Sram XPLR set up? Also, what does this mean "Magene provides exclusive QED lightweight split chainring for product combination" . I find the whole BB situation and fittings utterly confusing!
Thanks

Hi,
Anyone running this frame 1x?. I appreciate it is not UDH but I prefer 1x bikes. Currently run a Vielo V+1 race.

Last question! Any reason to not get 5mm spokes other than a marginal loss of stiffness?

Hello everyone,
First of all many thanks for all your efforts on the forum, it's great and helps me a lot - keep up the good work.

Based on your experiences and reports I have ordered a wheelset (and handlebar) from Peter. And I can and will pass on your opinion - it was a great experience and the products are really very, very high quality products. Peter helped me a lot, even when my questions were annoying, he always answered immediately and helped me - thank you!

For the wheels I ordered the new D50CU-33 T1100 rims with carbon spokes and Peter's in-house hubs. Weight 1,225 gr. The plan is to use 30mm tyres. When I have fitted them I can give an update on the actual width of the tyres if you are interested.

I am also happy with the integrated handlebars, I just have to look for suitable spacers.

Hi
How did you get on with the handlebars? What was the spacer issue? Been offered 38/90 at a good price by Peter with my wheel order and not sure whether to bite or look elsewhere. Thanks. Bob

I ask Pete about integrated bars and he has offered a 38/90 at a great price. I can’t find any user reviews- anyone here used them?
